After the plethora of cost-cutting moves the Giants have made in Joe Schoen‘s first year as general manager, the biggest question surrounding the team remains the future of cornerback James Bradberry. According to Pro Football Network’s Aaron Wilson, the Chiefs have emerged as an interested party trying to trade for him.

Wilson reports that there are “ongoing trade discussions” between New York and Kansas City. He is quick to add, though, that “varying degrees of confidence” exist on “if and when a deal is ultimately struck”, and that nothing is imminent at this time.
The news comes one day after Ralph Vacchiano of SNY reported that the Giants were looking to have a trade consummated “before the end of the NFL draft”. He also named the Chiefs as a potential destination, along with the Colts and Texans. The Giants’ asking price had reportedly included a third-round pick, but that may no longer be the case.
Vacchiano states that the Giants “are willing to pick up some of Bradberry’s $13.4MM salary” to help facilitate a trade. Moving on from the 28-year-old – either through a trade or release – would save the Giants eight figures in cap space. Knowing that, most other teams are said to waiting to sign him as a free agent, rather than paying with draft compensation. The Chiefs, Wilson notes however, are “extremely interested” in trading for the Pro Bowler with a deal which could include “swapping picks in the middle rounds”.
Giants head coach Brian Daboll referred to Bradberry’s circumstances as “a fluid situation”. Depending on how trade negotiations go, that situation could have a resolution sooner rather than later.
Come on Kc please go get him and Gilmore
With what money lmao?
They have over 15M in cap space right now.
We still have 18 Million in cap space and that horrible contract of Mohames that everyone thinks is bad they can move money and open about another 30 million in cap space and we still Kelce and Jones who can still move money and free up cap space.. so yeah that money but most likely they wouldn’t even have to move any.
Moving any money on Kelce would be dumb. 14M, 16M and 18M the next 3 years. For a tight end. Adding to that total is bad business.
They have 15M according to Spotrac. That’s enough to get a high end, quality player through trade or sign along with their draft picks. No reason to kick money down the road unnecessarily.
Actually, that would be pretty cheap for someone avg 100 1300 10 + but granted he is getting old and could start breaking down. But they still do have the option to move some of his money if need be. Honestly, I would rather they stay put and not have to move any money on any contracts.
That’s not cheap at all comparatively to everyone else at his position is the point. They’re paying a premium for a non-premium position already. If any WR they have pops, they will equal or surpass that number playing a higher premium position. So shifting any more money to future years with expectation that it would be worth it is sort of foolish.
Would they necessarily need to “add” to Kelce’s contract? Don’t teams generally convert base salary into guaranteed signing bonuses, or spread it out over a longer term?
Cards should be all over him, he could be our CB1
They have 6M and need to do sign Kyler…I’d focus on the QB before going after a DB making 21M on the books.

The Chiefs have almost 18 mil in space according to over the cap. If the Giants eat half the contract they could make it work and still have space.
Or they would probably just restructure it or sign him to an extension
The picture associated with this story is accurate….Bradberry “tackling” a receiver after “defended” the receiver and he has made the catch…..good luck KC!
I dunno… looks like an INT to me.
Did they change the pic?
