It sounds like Jalen Ramsey‘s may appear in another game for the Jaguars. NFL.com’s Tom Pelissero reports (via Twitter) that the cornerback is on the team plane to Denver for tomorrow’s contest against the Broncos. Benjamin Allbright of KOA 850 in Denver was the first to report (via Twitter) that Ramsey was rejoining the Jaguars.
Pelissero doesn’t say that the cornerback will definitively play; Ramsey is still questionable with a back injury. Of course, many rolled their eyes when the young star called out sick from practice with a mix of maladies, including back soreness, hamstring issues, and the flu. However, his latest excuse from work was legitimate – Ramsey flew home to welcome his daughter into the world.
Despite the noise, Ramsey suited up to face the Titans last Thursday, and he’s compiled solid numbers (17 tackles, one forced fumble) through his first three games. If the cornerback indeed suits up for tomorrow’s matchup in Denver, it’s only going to benefit the Jags.
Ramsey reiterated his trade demand earlier this week. The Jaguars have been unwilling to engage in serious talks with the cornerback, and owner Shad Khan‘s recent efforts to reignite discussions haven’t moved the needle.
Not be a hack wagon but why does anyone a guy willing to screw his teammates and community when things don’t go his way
Because he’s really good. #analysis
How did he “screw his community”? Did I miss something.
People in northern Florida have nothing to live for besides their football teams.
He didn’t do either of those things and he is really good.
Life long Chiefs fan here. The more I read about this guy, the less I want KC to trade for him.
He’s not even that bad when you take into account things other players have done. As a chiefs fan you have first hand experience with some of those players.
he’s been diverted to Detroit to join the Chiefs
Sounds like another Antonio Brown saga to me. As a Raider fan I don’t want the Raiders to trade for him either despite how much he could possibly help them
He had 17 tackles and a forced fumble in one game after demanding a trade? And gets ‘solid’ for that?
3 games.
Well he (Jalen) might be a slight goofball but at least he is fulfilling his contract
Hopefully he plays well and the Jags get back to .500 and back into the division race
The Broncos should be trying to trade Chris Harris to all those teams interested in a DB, as they are going to rival Miami for futility this year and thus don’t need him.
Yes the Jags have nothing to lose unless he breaks his leg and is out the entire year or more like Alex Smith and they get “ notta” for him
