Minnesota Vikings
- Waived from injured reserve: FB Johnny Stanton
The former UNLV quarterback signed with the Vikings last May as an undrafted free agent. He converted to fullback with Minnesota, and was placed on injured reserve during the preseason.
I honestly can’t recall ever hearing of a QB converting to FB. Has that ever happened before?

Michael Robinson out of Penn State
There was a player shortage during the war years so something like that could have happened back then. We do know that Sammy Baugh played QB and 2 other positions effectively so it’s not outside the realm of possibility for a versatile athlete.
