Adrian Peterson was hoping to return for Week 16, but it sounds like he is ahead of schedule. Peterson says that he will play Week 15 against the Colts (via Dash Radio).
The 7-6 Vikings have a 19% chance of making the playoffs, according to Five Thirty Eight. With three games to go against the Colts, Packers, and Bears, the Vikings will probably have to run the table in order to make the postseason.
Peterson wasn’t setting the world on fire before his injury in September, but the Vikings are hoping that they will see the Peterson of old when he takes the field this week. Backups Jerick McKinnon and Matt Asiata have filled in for No. 28, but they haven’t been able to get anything going on a consistent basis. With any luck, Peterson will keep opposing defenses honest and also open things up for the passing game.
For his career, the three-time NFL rushing champ and 2012 MVP has 11,725 yards and 97 rushing touchdowns on 2,412 carries (4.9 yards per carry).
Why would he risk it when there season is over?
To get more value since he most likely wont be a Viking next year. To see if he can fome back from injury quicker thrn most thought can show his toughness
YOU ARE AN IDIOT!
Because that is why he is getting paid, to do his job…..
Cause he is a beast bruh, a freak of nature
I don’t even know where to start with this…
But here goes.
A weak nfc but 0% chance of winning a playoff game.
Wouldn’t every team love a roster with young injury free players, a healthy oline, and high caliber wrs? Who are high caliber wrs in thr league now and how many teama have 2? Qbs make the wide outs and if a QB is constantly pressured like Bradford has been, it’s tough to get big plays as we’ve seen. Bradford is no bum. Although his inability to run makes Bridgewater a better choice on extending plays, Bradford is making passes we never saw Teddy make and he does it weekly. But hey, at least our defense is “good though”.
Top notch analysis, keep it up.
Well of course the odds are against them because of the tiebreakers but if they make the playoffs, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were actually favored because of their defense and the way they have played against the teams in the playoff picture. No one is saying the offense needs work but primarily on the line, they just have been extremely unlucky with injuries this year.
And damn right I’m impressed with Bradford, they can take all those behind the line dump offs but he makes nfl throws and has gotten back in games he wouldn’t have with the rams after taking some shots this year.
You need time for routes to develop so just because the stats aren’t there for them all doesn’t mean they have bad wideouts. Its not that tough to find other teams if you actually watch games. I’d take this group over what the browns, eagles, chiefs and bills are putting out there. If Rodgers or Brady had this crew with an average line they would put up big numbers so don’t say the issues are there.
Just wondering why you are saying teddy is so overrated? People that watch football and the vikings closely know exactly what he is, a weaker armed, mobile (therefore more injury prone) young qb. He can make plays, he just needs to become more consistent.
Defense can carry teams and it has with them but if harry and Waynes continue to miss these last games, it’s gonna be tough to win out.
You bet I would. I’ve seen below average play for far too long. So tell me this, would you be better with Shaun hill in all these games? Bradford may not be elite but if he could stay upright and have time to throw, he’s more than capable of winning games.
You must surely be a packer fan, I can smell rotting cheese from here.
Agreed it’s his job and he can show that he can still run then someone will pick him up for next season my guess the 49’s when the Vikings cut him
AP is gotta be thinking he only plays for a contender. He doesn’t want to face st Louis and Seattle twice a year. He’s got all the money he needs, he wants the ring. Maybe zeke’s backup in dallas?
AP will want to start he might look at the lions or the colts I dought he will go as a backup anywhere
Again, why play for the Lions when the Packers and vikings aren’t likely to have this sort of mass casualties and will be the top 2 teams in the division for the next 5 years. He’s going to look for easiest path to playoffs.
Insert dream car here, Rams play in la not st.louis
You are correct. Still getting used to it
