There will be 17 draft prospects waiting in the green room to hear their name announced next week. The NFL announced the players who will attend the first round next Thursday night in Green Bay:

- LB Jihaad Campbell, Alabama
- OT Will Campbell, LSU
- DE Abdul Carter, Penn State
- QB Jaxson Dart, Mississippi
- WR Matthew Golden, Texas
- DT Mason Graham, Michigan
- DB/WR Travis Hunter, Colorado
- RB Ashton Jeanty, Boise State
- DB Will Johnson, Michigan
- WR Tetairoa McMillan, Arizona
- QB Jalen Milroe, Alabama
- OT Josh Simmons, Ohio State
- DB Malaki Starks, Georgia
- DE Shemar Stewart, Texas A&M
- QB Cam Ward, Miami (FL)

When players commit to attending the first round of the draft, their respective camps have often been given some kind of assurance that they’ll be selected within the top-32 picks. Of course, that’s not a prerequisite, and as we’ve seen many times, there are some overly-confident prospects who subsequently endure the very-public waiting game.
Per usual, the most notable inclusions surround the QB position. Cam Ward is the favorite to go first-overall, and Shedeur Sanders (who is absent from this list) is also expected to be selected at some point in the first round. After that, the position is pretty uncertain, and that could lead to some awkward moments for the other QBs who decided to attend.
Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart and Alabama’s Jalen Milroe have firmly established themselves in that next tier of QB prospects, and recent reports have indicated that they should be at least Day 2 picks. There haven’t been any definitive reports about their Day 1 candidacy, and while we shouldn’t read too much into the list of attendees, it is notable that both prospects believe they have a shot of going in the top-32 selections.
I believe 2023 had three or four attendees who weren’t drafted on day one. I would be stunned if Milroe went on day one, as I think most people would be.
Smart – Shadeur can avoid the spotlight then if he continues to fall. Not the kind of negative attention you want going into your rookie season…
What has happened with Shadeur is somewhat amazing and I wonder how much of an affect his dad has on all of this. I think I saw all but one of his games. I don’t see much difference between him and Ward, and see Dart, Shough and Milroe as much less.
How Sanders isn’t on the list but they are is mind numbing
I’m sure he was invited. Plenty of players say no to have their own gatherings.
I’m sure he declined to attend.
I hope Milroe brings more than 1 suit. Could be a long wait him. Hopefully he gets free food every day.
My 2025 QB Draft Rankings
Tier 1 Prospects: Cam Ward
Tier 2 Prospects: Shedeur Sanders, Jaxon Dart
Tier 3 Prospects (in no particular order but kinda in order): Kyle McCord, Will Howard, Quinn Ewers, Riley Leonard, Jalen Milroe, Tyler Shough, Dillon Gabriel
Going to be some really talented guys taken on Day 2 of the draft.
I could see Milroe going in the 3rd round…of the CFL draft

You have to love these internet talent evaluaters. I think we should do this, I think we should draft this guy. How many of you had Brock Purdy on your draft lists? And now, how many even knew his name before he became MR Irrelevant? I’m sure Kurt Warner was on everyone’s list too. Did anyone see Brett Favre, the third string Packers QB having a HOF career? If not for the “Magic Man” and the second string guy both getting hurt and Brett coming in and absolutely shredding the Bengals he may have done nothing but hold a clipboard for a few years, and then retire. All the Internet GM’s and draft gurus need to preface your comments with “In my opinion”, because none of you have any idea what it takes to actually evaluate talent.
How is any of that different from what you see being put forward on ESPN or NFL? How many times have guys like Kiper, McShay, Riddick et al, and the usual talk show geniuses, been wrong? And supposedly, it’s their livelihood
It’s a fun time of year
The draft and free agency afford fans the ability to dream
But after all, EVERYTHING is opinion
True, it’s all opinions, mine included.
Favre was drafted 33rd overall, so it’s not like no one ever thought he could play. But the fact is evaluating quarterback prospects is extremely difficult for *everyone*, otherwise the outcomes would be a lot more predictable.
If you want a dark horse in this draft, I think Dillon Gabriel is getting underrated. He’s not that impressive physically, but people rave about his leadership, he’s gotten better every year of college, and he’s surpassed Nix as the most experienced quarterback in college history, which seems to be helping some of these guys.

The alternative to playing the draft game is to adopt the George Allen philosophy and avoid rookies whenever possible. With an 18 game schedule on the horizon it’s hard to imagine many GMs would want a roster comprised on 15 players 35 years of age or older gasping for oxygen as the Over The Hill Gang in Washington use to do.
I was going to do my draft through 5 rnds. I decided not to since Man up there shamed into not doing it. I do it because I enjoy it. OK I really don’t do 5 rnds or even 1. I look at who might be available for the Seahawks and disvuss it with my brother and son. I also discuss it a little with another brother and Nephew.
To call people out for having a bit of fun is ignorant. They have the right to pontificate on who might go where. There is no need to come on here and try to shame them. Although again you have the right to do it. Some might say you are another word for a donkey but they have that right too. Next time do what I do. Write up your opinions read it over and delete it. You can feel good about what you wrote and not publicly criticize others. Good Luck to your team unless it is a NY team not the Bills or in the NFCW not the Seahawks. The Stealers Dallas Raiders Chiefs NE oh heck just anyone we play or will get in the way of a bunch of SB wins. We also need a QB first I guess.
Bah, his is an opinion, too
No biggie
Post away
Me? I want to see the Steelers draft Shadeur then go D-line for every other pick
And they can sign Rodgers too, while they’re at it
They have to do something to shake things up here
Well said Proton. Good luck to your Seahawks this year.
I probably do 2 Three-Round mock drafts every day this time of year. I have no idea what any GM is actually thinking I just like to get some idea of where guys could go. I do it for fun and its a great way to gather info for conversations with friends and family. Especially this time of the year when all us football fans have no games to watch.
Those two QBs getting an invite? Aggressive.
Is this the ARod thing again?
Still – if that was me, Id attend. You only get one chance to be drafted and it could potentially be a amazing moment.
Even if not selected, its a not as embarrassing to me as it might be to others.
Man. I can see a whole bunch of embarrassed players sitting in the Green room this year. Tyler Booker, Jihad Campbell, Malaki Starks and Will Johnson all could last until the 2nd round. Teams pass up Guards, Safeties, Slots and Off ball Linebackers every year.
