The Stefon Diggs era in Buffalo will end after four seasons. The AFC East champions are trading the star wide receiver to the Texans, Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports. Both teams have since announced the trade.
The Bills will receive a 2025 second-round pick, according to Schefter, who adds the Texans will pick up Diggs, a 2025 fifth-round pick and a 2024 sixth. This will bring a decorated but mercurial period to a close for the Bills and Diggs. The 2025 second-rounder originally belonged to the Vikings, who packaged it in a deal to acquire the Texans’ No. 23 overall pick this year.

It will also arm C.J. Stroud with a high-end weapon. With Stroud on a rookie contract, the Texans are bringing in one of the NFL’s most lucrative receiver deals. This move comes after the Texans had considered trading for Keenan Allen. Both high-end wideouts have six 1,000-yard seasons on their respective resumes, but Diggs — at 30 — is more than a year younger.
This, of course, marks the second time Diggs has been dealt in his career. The first such trade changed the Bills’ trajectory. Josh Allen‘s path to stardom reached a clear pivot point when the Bills acquired Diggs during the 2020 offseason. They landed the five-year Vikings wideout for a package headlined by a first-round selection. With Diggs set to turn 31 later this year and tied to a big-ticket contract, his price tag dropped.
Buffalo kept Diggs on his Minnesota-constructed contract for two seasons but handed out a four-year, $96MM deal during the 2022 offseason. Four years remain on that contract. While Diggs’ deal sits fifth in terms of wide receiver AAV, the Texans do not have too much money allocated to their skill positions. Diggs’ contract will overlap with Tank Dell and Nico Collins‘ rookie pacts. In clear rebuilding mode to start Nick Caserio‘s GM tenure, the Texans went into last year without any payment north of $7MM at the skill positions. They have now re-signed Dalton Schultz (three years, $36MM) and signed up to add Diggs, who will join Joe Mixon as a trade pickup in Houston.
For Buffalo, this will certainly mark a sea change. Diggs ripped off four straight 1,100-plus-yard seasons with the Bills. That included two 1,400-yard years. The elite route runner gave the Bills a bona fide No. 1 target after they had lacked one for the better part of the 21st century. The addition rocketed Allen onto the superstar tier. The Bills ventured to the AFC championship game in Diggs’ first year in New York, winning their first playoff games since 1995. Diggs, of course, was not the sole reason for Buffalo’s resurgence. But he played one of the central roles.
While the Texans are set to roll out a Diggs-Dell-Collins receiver trio, the Bills have now lost Diggs and Gabe Davis this offseason. Buffalo did add Curtis Samuel and saw Khalil Shakir make key contributions down the stretch, but it appears likely the AFC power will need to come out of the draft with a major WR pickup. Fortunately, this year brings another deep crop at the position. Considering their Super Bowl window ahead of Allen’s age-28 season, this trade certainly ramps up the pressure on the Sean McDermott–Brandon Beane duo.
Diggs’ Bills relationship both traversed rocky terrain and ended on a low note. A confusing situation developed at minicamp last year, with Diggs leaving the team’s facility unexpectedly. McDermott referred to the exit as an excused absence, but he also called the Diggs situation “very concerning.” Allen attempted to downplay the matter, and Diggs soon said he wanted to finish his career in Buffalo. This all came after Diggs stormed out of the Bills’ locker room and needed to be brought back following the team’s divisional-round loss to the Bengals last year. A report indicated Diggs was frustrated by his role in Buffalo’s offense, one that had consistently featured him as the lead weapon. Diggs later denied that was the case.
As last season progressed, Diggs also became a lesser part of the Bills’ offense. As the team regrouped following a 5-5 start — one that led to Ken Dorsey‘s firing and Joe Brady‘s elevation to OC — Diggs did not offer WR1-level production. Allen needed to rely on Shakir and a James Cook-powered run game to drag the Bills to their fourth straight AFC East title. Diggs finished with 1,183 yards but only eclipsed 50 in two of Buffalo’s final seven games. Diggs added a crucial drop late in the Bills’ narrow divisional-round loss to the Chiefs; he caught just three passes for 21 yards in that 27-24 defeat.
This move will also be financially punitive for the Bills. Due to signing bonus proration, the team will be hit with more than $31MM in dead money. While the second-round pick being acquired will be important, Buffalo will see this money accelerate onto its 2024 salary cap due to the deal being finalized before June 1. In terms of single-season dead cap hits, Diggs’ ranks fifth in NFL history (h/t Spotrac). For non-QBs, the $31MM hit sets a record.
Rather than restructure Diggs’ deal to create cap space, the Bills are taking on considerable pain now. That will increase an uphill battle for a Bills team that has also moved on from Mitch Morse, Jordan Poyer and Tre’Davious White this offseason. Diggs’ $18.5MM 2024 base salary is guaranteed. Beyond that, Houston has some flexibility.
At the other end of the spectrum, the Texans are spending in a way they have not under Caserio. The Bill Belichick disciple has greenlit this Diggs deal following the Schultz re-up, Mixon trade and a few defensive augmentations — headlined by the near-fully guaranteed Danielle Hunter accord. With Stroud and Will Anderson tied to rookie deals through at least 2025, the Texans are operating with urgency.
As this represents a risk for a Bills team attempting to stay near the AFC’s top tier, the dead money here certainly suggests the organization believed this relationship had run its course. The Texans are not giving up too much for the 10th-year veteran, but they are acquiring a player with some baggage — Diggs clashed with Vikings brass during his final Minnesota year as well — and one coming off an unremarkable finish to last season. Still, Diggs brings an impressive pedigree to Houston. He will now join younger brother Trevon Diggs in Texas; the Texans play both the Bills and Cowboys in 2024.
IMO Dallas should of been all over this. Much like the Yankees the Cowboys say they all in to win but don’t do anything about it. TALK IS CHEAP!!!
Texans have a lot more cap space than the Cowboys do…
Last thing Dak Prescott needs is a diva WR who will pout and cause issues when Lamb gets the Lions share of the targets.
I see what you did there. lamb/lion
Should they “of”?
There seems to be a lot of compensation missing, there must be more to it such as what does Minnesota get out of this and I would think Buffalo
What does Minnesota have to do with this?
Schefters first tweet says the 2nd is from Minnesota
Why would minnesota get anything out of this? Bills aren’t getting as much because Houston is absorbing his bad contract.
Minnesota traded their 2nd round pick this year and next year to get the Texans first round pick at #23 this year. The Texans are trading Minnesota’s 2nd round pick in 2025 that they already have to get Diggs. I assume it is because it is more likely the Texans pick will be higher than Minnesota’s pick next year as Minnesota currently does not have a QB and the Texans are primed to be in the playoffs again this year. Shows that the value of 2nd they are getting is higher.
Vikings had previously traded that 2nd round pick to the Texans in return for the 23rd pick in the draft
Ok this is actually helpful unlike the other commenters, thank you for explaining
Reading is hard. Comprehension ?? Much harder.
Read Schefters first tweet about this it says:
Buffalo receives 2nd round via MINNESOTA
Maybe you need to learn to read or just not comment, or just keep exposing yourself as the knuckle dragger you are
While Wade’s comment is obnoxious, via doesn’t necessitate that Minny was in on the trade, either. Could be the result of a prior trade, which in this case it was.
I mean Diggs can obviously be a headache, but a 2nd next year is a great find for Houston. That offense will be scary.
This happening, to me, shows the intensity of the headache … migraine level, yes? One player’s physical talent does not trump team unity/chemistry. I’m thinking the Bills FO was stunned, in a great way, that someone wanted Diggs and so they pulled out all the stops to make it happen.
Every great receiver is a headache. Actually, even the mid tier guys are headaches anymore.. It’s part of the game at this point. But I’m totally sure that Curtis Samuel and Shakir are happy. They’re below mid tier guys they’re both just happy to have a roster spot let alone a STARTING spot.
Kupp in LA and Lamb in Dallas have 2 things in common. They are “great receivers” and are not “headaches”. I’m sure there are others. And from the past; guys like Megatron and Rice as well. And now, dating myself, Raymond Berry is another.
The Chiefs haven’t had a star wide receiver since Hill. Bunch of mid tier and “below mid tier” guys going balls to the wall for their QB. Result? A couple of SB rings.
Buffalo has got them a TE presence now. Mix in some mid to “lower mid tier” receivers with good attitudes and see if Josh can do what Patrick is doing in KC.
By the way, I’m a Ravens fan. Id rather face Houston than Buffalo on any given Sunday.
2 of 40 current WRs. Josh can’t do what Patrick does because he’s not mahomes nor as talented. Mahomes could have you at WR and he’d win a SB. He’s THAT good. Houston will blow the top off of Buffalo. 7 wins top for that team.
Points taken. That said, I’m curious to see what Josh can do with finally having a solid TE core and minus a “great receiver”. Yep, agreed, Mahomes is a beast. Cheers.
Houston becoming the best NFL team in Texas
*became
Houston IS the best NFL team in Texas
No running game
I’ll take Joe Mixon over the Cowboys’, uh, Deuce Vaughn. So, yeah, still better than Dallas. Besides, they won’t take 30 years to reach their respective conference championship, have more cap space, have a QB on a rookie deal, and on and on.
Not a Cowgirls fan by any means, but 22 years and counting for the Texans and 0 conference championship games. Houston > Dallas though.
and Dallas’ last one was 1996, 28 yrs. 28 > 22
1995, but yeah.
MyCommentIsBetter
the past is the past, the future is now, if they don’t win with the current core then it was all for nothing
Dallas ain’t winning anything. It’s all for $$$$.
There’s another?
Doesn’t look like they got enough for Diggs at his best – but his circumstances were deteriorating and thus maybe that’s all he was worth given his attitude, age, contract status, etc.
He’s getting older. His contract is making it hard to fill other positions. And just possibly they are sick of his whining any week he doesn’t get 15 looks.
If he was truly becoming a problem in the locker room, then this was the best possible move. Many Buffalo fans (including myself) defended his cryptic posts and questionable comments over the past couple of years, but as long as Buffalo’s cap hit isn’t terrible, the team will be better off without the distraction.
Yes, they’ll be better off with number one receiver Curtis Samuel and a $31 million dead cap hit.
I get that they’re resetting an old roster around Allen and Diggs could be a pain, but they’ve certainly taken another step for the worse and they don’t even get extra draft ammo until next year.
Diggs already had a 27 or 28MM cap hit, so it’s really just and additional 3ish against the books. They are still in the clear. Had they waited until June 1st it would have been split something like 12 this year 19 next, which would have cleared 12MM instead of taking on three. I’m assuming the 19 next year is also less than his cap number would have been. To pass on saving money two years in a row, give up current draft compensation and delay any return until the 2025 draft? They must hate this guy and view the remainder of his contract as suffocating. Very interesting turn of events.
They do save his entire cap number in 2025. Perhaps they plan on a big signing next year. Hope it works out better than Von Miller’s deal.
“Diggs already had a 27 or 28MM cap hit, so it’s really just and additional 3ish against the books.” Well yeah, but they were going to be paying that cap hit to actually have the player.
With how he played the last half of the season, his production won’t be hard to replace.
But now his cap hit is off the books for 2025. That is a lot of cash to clear off your books. They can get two decent starters now next offseason plus a higher 2nd round pick. That’s potentially three starters for an aging WR that was becoming a problem in the locker room. Samuel, Hollins, and whatever WR they draft combined will be able to at least match his 2023 2nd half production this year. I’m sure he’ll have a good season in Houston, but it’s better to move on from a guy a year early and pick up a 2nd, than a year late, and have to cut him for nothing.
Does june 1st matter for trades? I thought it was only for releases.
You would have to process the trade after June 1st to split up the cap hit, but the Bills are not doing that. They are taking their medicine now, which will prove to be a good move when next offseason rolls around.
Obviously it helps when your QB looks ready to contend after his rookie year, but the Texans are playing that hand beautifully. Diggs, Collins, and Dell with some combination of Brown, Woods, and Metchie backing them up is a fantastic receiver group–especially with Schultz and Mixon in tow. Combined with the Hunter signing, I love how they’re going all-in on Stroud’s cheap years, and love how they set this up with acquiring an extra second rounder from the Vikings. I’ve been a Caserio skeptic in the past, but this is stellar.
Yep, makes sense to make all-in moves while your QB is still on his rookie deal. We’ll see how this all turns out, but Billy B didn’t leave Caserio much to work with when he first arrived.
This is a spicy acquisition for the Texans
Trading their 1st this year makes a lot more sense
They traded their #23 1st for 2024 and 2025 second rounders
Sounds like they’re sending their 2025 second rounder and keeping minnesotas 2025 which should be higher than the Texans pick will be.
Plus they kept both their 2024 second rounders.
I love my Bills so much, but fade the Bills this year.
Its a small rebuild year now.
I suppose that depends on which receiver they end up with in the draft-if they take one, which looks pretty likely.
Maybe – but as good as a prospect is, its still a prospect. (I also support taking shots on guys too!)
We are now without a number 1 receiver though.
I think his best days are behind him, he was nonexistent the second half last year. I dont believe he is washed, but expecting a 100 catch 1100 yard season might not be a sure thing.
I could build an argument that 1 year too early is better than 1 year too late, and that might apply here.
But its the 30 million dead cap that makes it sting even more.
My expectations are slightly lowered for my guys:
Could be, but let’s see what happens before training camp with the draft and free agency. After Brady took over at OC, Diggs became a lesser factor in the offense, and if he was becoming an issue in the locker room, the writing was on the wall.
KC just showed you can win a SB without great WRs, but you better be able to run the ball and have a great D.
Idk Knox Kincaid they’ll likely draft a receiver or 2 in the 1st and or 2nd or 3rd. It’s a deep draft at WR.
Not so much “rebuild” as “reset”
I agree with that.
I think this year will be slightly down, but never completely out.
ESPN bet changed their Super Bowl odds from 12-1 to 13-1. Don’t forget they get 10MM in cap space on June 1st when White’s release becomes official. They could sign a post 6/1 cut WR to soak up some of these targets and not be much different than last season. Diggs disappeared at seasons end and I’m not entirely convinced it was all coverage. Not like Davis stormed the castle from all the open looks.
I think Samuel is an immediate upgrade over Gabe, but that isn’t enough.
But realistically, the options to get an alpha at this point are very slim. Its almost draft and a prayer that one of the free agent guys works out.
This entire season is now contingent on how NFL ready the receiver drafted is.
Idk I agree with the season depending on who they draft as a WR. You’re not wrong in thinking they won’t be getting a #1 alpha wr at this point, I just don’t think they had one most of last year, either. Diggs faded hard last season and the most important deep ball of the year went through his hands. Going from John Brown and Beasley to Diggs was supposed to elevate the Bills to Super Bowl champions, didn’t work out that way. Bills had more flaws than one receiver could fix, and still do. I really don’t think this moves the needle much, but I also don’t think Diggs is a 1400 yard number 1 anymore.
My biggest concern is what does this signal the front office thinks of the team? I think it signals that as constructed they weren’t a top team. So clean up the books for 2025, and get back to the drawing board.
They’re still making the playoffs and getting bounced by KC this year. That hasn’t changed. But what happens next may have.
Roguesaw, I just want to say that I think that you had a great analysis. Perhaps Buffalo doesn’t get bounced by K.C. this year, but I get what you meant.
The rest, really, is what I liked. Is the loss of a number one of Diggs’ caliber crippling? Not exactly, but it could be significant. Can they recover from the Diggs loss with a good pick? Certainly. But, more importantly, can the Bills cover the more serious deficiencies that have hamstrung the team outside of the receiver issue?
That’s a more serious problem than one receiver can solve, and as good as Diggs has been for the Bills, a good rookie pick there and some other investments on the defensive side could keep Buffalo afloat in the next few years as other contenders could be forced to fully rebuild themselves. I actually think that Beane is doing a good job with handling this, but at the end of the day, the flexibility that he’ll need down the road the next few years will heavily depend on hitting on these replacement picks in the coming draft. Just my two cents (likely worth less).
I still think supporting Josh is bigger than any other issue. Its an issue WITH Diggs.
The other needs? Safety? Nah. Poyer and Hyde are products of the system and excellent coaching. They will replace that.
DL? They have done great getting Daquan and Epenesa back. Could they use a younger DT sure.
A top end edge rusher? Yes – but that guy isn’t coming in this draft.
There are not many large holes besides outside WR. A third CB can be found more easily. Yes, depth matters. (Using AJ freaking Klein against Travis Kelce bc of injuries!)
As a Bills fan – our issue has been the offense’s lack of big plays. Our defense is always coached well and a top performing unit, filling in holes patchwork.
We need an alpha.
Our top performing defense goes flat in the playoffs because it has two fundamental flaws: the system itself is porous against qb’s that create (Mahomes) and teams with advanced rushing attacks (chiefs) and second, depth. (Eg Klein!). The unit has been too top heavy with expensive talent and needs quality players on rookie contracts primarily at the Line. When you run a low blitz, four man rush scheme, those four guys need to be damn good, and big men need to rotate.
Personally I think we may have more success with a scheme change over adding guys. Yes in the regular season this team is a top d unit with excellent numbers against both the pass and run. But the team can’t get past Pat Mahomes and Joe Burrow. It’s a flawed scheme.
Jerry Rice in his prime doesn’t fix that.
The Bills scored 10 points against the Bengals in 2022.
Last year, the Chiefs were losing most of the game. It was because the offense couldn’t sustain a drive that kept them in it.
AJ Klein was starting because like 3-4 linebackers were unavailable. That kind of injury is more than depth. Id say the defense was great considering that.
If you are defining your defense based on one game sample size every year against the best QBs, you are very likely going to upset more often than not.
If you are laying all the blame and advocating change in scheme – that is your prerogative, but you are ignoring so much of the good stuff.
The Bills are never going to the Super Bowl with Allen at QB anyway
Riiight.
There have a couple of real doozys here before the draft.
Patriots should have traded for him. Would have gotten so many targets a game.
That trade would never happen with an AFC East rival
No
Texans still gotta get by Baltimore and Kansas City, maybe even the Jets before you can proclaim them THE best team in the NFL
Too soon to call them the best, but KC lost their best corner, might be without their best receiver for a bit, and still need a left tackle, while Baltimore has an offensive line in serious flux while also needing help at corner and receiver. Good time for Houston to shoot their shot.
Most importantly, the mob who fixes everything.
They also have to overcome the sophomore QB slump. The pieces look good but the Texans move from a last-place schedule to first this year and will need to gel. Diggs requires a lot of hand-holding and his production was dropping like a rock at the end of last season.
Since when is a sophomore slump an automatic thing for a QB?
Jets? Please.
They’re probably THE best team in their division, we’ll see
Well this sucks for fantasy football next year…Good for real life, just muddies it for fantasy
I was thinking the same thing but mainly how it’ll affect Nico and Tank.
So the Bills are drafting a WR then round 1 right? That receiver room looks ROUGH.
Rough? They lost a head case and an inconsistent #2, but will pick one if not two prospects, acquired Curtis Samuel, and have two quality tight ends and Shakir. Diggs became invisible once Brady took over as OC.
Oh man, Curtis Samuel! Go ahead and give ’em that AFC East title! Lmao. “Rough” is being optimistic. That big ox of a QB already does everything, so might as well have him throw passes to himself now, too. The cope is strong.
Curtis Samuel is one piece, but don’t overlook the rest of the TEs and receivers. Adding a first rounder and possibly more will give them as much offensive power as Mahomes had the past two years.
There is not a TE on the roster that compares to the TE Mahomes has. Mahomes also has a HOF coach to get the most out of players.
If your counter to losing a guy who is a lock for 1100-1400 yards and 8-11 TDs with 100+ catches on a 69% catch rate is “acquiring Curtis Samuel” I think you are either underestimating Diggs’ production and/or overestimating Samuel’s potential.
You can add together the last two years of Samuel and match Diggs’ down year from last year.
Replacing Davis with Samuel then maybe. I think Davis has a higher ceiling despite his lower catch rate but at least the production is relatively similar.
Losing Diggs without making a corresponding trade to acquire an established player is a loss. For every Justin Jefferson rookie year there are dozens of N’Keal Harry type rookie years.
I can argue that the Bills two TEs combined will be much more valuable than Taylor Swift’s boyfriend this season. Kinkade had a great rookie season and Know provides a solid balance with good blocking and great presence in the end-zone and first-down markers. Shakir is coming along well and Curtis did well despite being on teams with some of the worst QBs in the league. Diggs was either hitting the wall or back to his diva attitude and most Bills fans have seen enough of that drama.
Kelce plus a league average replacement will still be more productive than Kincaid and whoever else they pair with him. He is a 4x first team all pro, 3x second team all pro, and an 8 straight pro-bowler. Kincaid is nowhere close to him. Kelce had a passer rating on balls thrown to him 10 points higher than Kincaid last season. I can’t stand Kelce but those are all facts. Kincaid is going to be a great player as well but simply not on the level of Kelce.
Diggs has his own issues on and off the field and that is a very fair point.
I think the bigger issue is losing the production of Diggs and Davis.
Justin Shorter is a nobody, Shakir a 5th rounder 2 years ago less than 800 career yards, and Samuel is a career slot guy who likely will get 600-800 yards add in Mack Hollins’ sub 300 yard per season average also.
Lets just say Davis for Samuel washes out. The 1200 yards from 1 player, Diggs, is more than the season averages of the rest of the WR depth chart right now from Shakir, Hollins, Shorter, Shavers, Isabella, Hamler, and Thompson COMBINED.
They should just toss brock bowers in with Kincaid and Knox. They tried Josh Allen and the smurfs. Let’s see what he can do with ogres.
Diva…Texans have two other good wide receivers and a great tight end. How many catches is that gonna cost them, oh yea, Diggs will get his catches but how many interceptions will Stroud throw trying to force the ball to Diggs to make him happy? Diggs will be 31 next season making bank, he’s good but I think the Bills made a good call unloading him , especially since Josh Allen getting paid
He’ll be crying by week two if he doesn’t get 100 yards a game.
I’m guessing he’ll be happier with a change of scenery, in a better offense, sharing targets with better receivers.
Diggs has never been happy in good offenses as the #1. What makes you think being the #3 in Texas will improve his attitude?
He won’t be #3. Besides, there’s been talk that some of his issues were with McDermott insisting he do everything his way, including OTAs. Going to a more player friendly coach and with a fresh start on a team on the upswing will likely help. And if not, he’ll be easier to move on from than he was for the Bills. It won’t take much for him to be worth a second in next year’s draft.
You think after getting dumped by two teams, it’s all the coaches’ fault? Good luck with that. He’ll put on a good face until he doesn’t break 100 yards a game (so game one, maybe two). He’s on his way out…
Two teams in nine years isn’t that many. The first case was mostly about money, and Minnesota trading him worked out great for the Bills. He’s past his prime, but I think he’s still got a couple of good years left.
Possibly, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him have a one-and-done season in Houston. It takes a special staff to put up with his antics.
Seems very hard to handle the guy who’s had four straight 100-reception seasons, six straight 1000-yard seasons, and literally never been on a losing team. He might be one and done in Houston, but I don’t buy the idea that he’s some horrible poison pill.
Texans can get out of this contract very easily after this coming season. Would save about $18.5M with a dead cap of 0. If it doesn’t work they can move on. Low risk in my opinion.
Nearly time to hold a poll on who has had the best pre-draft offseason. I had the Texans and Eagles leading the way but this trade clearly puts the Texans out in front.
I think two things can be true: Diggs is a good acquisition for the Texans, and it’s a good return for the Bills to get a second rounder (in a historically deep receiver class) for a slightly aging Diggs and some spare change. They’ll draft a good young receiver in the first or second round, or maybe both.
They’ll probably take a slight step back next year, but in my mind they’re still the best team in that division. The Dolphins are solid but can’t beat good teams, and until the Jets play up to the hype I don’t think they deserve to be ranked as highly as they are right now. I think the Texans are going to be really good and they’re the second or third best team in the AFC right now depending on what you think of the Ravens, but everything being said about them now was said about the Jaguars last year so I guess we’ll see about them.
The second is next year, not this year.
Ah, I missed that. Thank you
It’s a surprising detail!
Buff got absolutely fleeced. Love it.
Wait until next season is over before making that prediction. If the rumors are true, the Bills made the right move.
Hell yes! This year is gonna be LIT.
His numbers were great on the year but he fell off a cliff after week 7. Only averaged 5 catches and 51 yards a game for the last 11 games of the season. Either bills know something we don’t or they weren’t using him properly. And they were tired of his noise obviously AND they need some cap relief. Are the bills still a threat?
Texans are way more impressive than Dallas even with a major cap advantage. Cowboys have done zero WOW moves all offseason
The Texans didn’t really need to do this move. Yeah another weapon for CJ is nice but is Diggs going to be ‘good’ for the locker room?
I will say Diggs really wants a SB ring and he is now closer to that dream today then he was yesterday.
Stroud is a great passer now with a real star WR1 and still the same support he had last year with Collins and Tank. The running game will be better with Joe Mixon.
Not to mention in terms of back ups you have Keenum, Piece, Woods and Metchie.
On defence Hunter is a huge addition and should pair really well with Anderson. The secondary is loaded in terms of depth with Okudah and Henderson being solid little additions aswell.
Would like to see them draft Jeremiah Trotter Jr and big Dominick Puni.
Great trade for the Texans. Yet another weapon for C.J. Stroud. They have been making bold moves to improve their roster and there is plenty to like now with the team they will be putting on the field.
The timing is good too to put themselves in the AFC top teams. They are not elite just yet but they are getting closer. Chiefs beware!!!
This move will slow down that QB-adhd Josh exhibits. I like the play. Small ball. Smash mouth. With a large mobile qb. I would build a Steelers/Big Ben offense. With explosive players from scrimmage.
Josh has that Brett Favre cannon, it would be wasted on small ball. Needs a balance of both smash mouth and home run deep ball. Doesn’t need a #1 WR, but he does need a guy who catches that 65 yard throw
Small ball opens up long game. Everything this kid does is forced.
Diggs is a selfish player. A selfish person. Nothing but a cancer everywhere he goes.
You get both Diggs too. Never good.
A cancer who’s been good every year of his career, helped Allen break out the second he arrived, and has never been on a losing team. Doesn’t seem like a fatal cancer.
Winning and winning championships are different. Amazing talent. But that type of player and his brother do things to your ability to perform as a team.
Yeah those guys are not the reasons their teams haven’t won super bowls.
But it starts a convo. Teams win championships. Ask Tom. But don’t ask him about pay cuts to buy ships either. Lol
With the Texans’ recent and probable 2024 success, the pick will be towards the end of the 2nd round.
I’m so glad Minnesota traded him, dudes a low key distraction
