It’s been two years since the Panthers moved on from Cam Newton, and the organization’s QB room has seen plenty of change in that short amount of time. Besides the financial commitments to free agent additions like Teddy Bridgewater and Newton (for a second stint), the Panthers have also invested plenty of draft capital into the position. Over the past 15 months, the organization has effectively used a second-round pick, third-round pick, fourth-round pick, fifth-round pick, and sixth-round pick to construct their current depth chart of Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, and Matt Corral.
Of course, the Panthers have rostered plenty of additional signal-callers since settling on their current trio. Over the past two years, the Panthers have started four different QBs, and 13 different quarterbacks have made their way through the organization (either via the active roster or practice squad). These 13 different QBs have accounted for 18 different transactions over the past 28 months.

Gotta love the “offensive guru” that is Matt Rhule.
No idea if Rhule is any good, but it’s difficult to discern such when Bridgewater is the best bet he has had at QB; especially given the recent injury history of McCaffrey
Agreed. Baker is the best on that list above and it’s not even close. (Cam hasn’t been any good since his super bowl season and that was wayyyyy before Rhule.)
Baker Bridgewater Apples to Apples
Eh, Newton had a very good 2016 as well but I see your point. After he hurt his shoulder the next year he began his nosedive.
Actually, his 2016 was a huge step back relative to his MVP campaign, but he played quite well over the next 2 years before injuring his shoulder
Ah, you’re correct. Got my years mixed up. 2017 and 2018 were decent years. It seems like longer, but 2019 is where Newton’s irreversible decline began.
Hopefully the next franchise QB knows to dive for the ball in a fumble.
BOTH XFL guys .. and pretty much every overpaid backup QB in the league made an appearance.
2023 Prediction: Chase Daniel
‘Over the past 15 months, the organization has effectively used a second-round pick, third-round pick, fourth-round pick, fifth-round pick, and sixth-round pick to construct their current depth chart’
Not to be ‘that guy’, but this isn’t right. Since they got back a 5th for Allen and a 6th for Bridgewater, they ‘effectively’ have only used a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.
