Go Eagles!
eagles made a great trade
Eagles had best night
Giants did amazing
Lions did amazing
Jets did great
steelers did great
ravens did great
chiefs good job
all other teams pretty sus
Giants did great in Round 1. Their Round 2 selection was a little head-scratching (have tons of other holes, already have a crowded WR room). Their Round 3 selections were pretty bad, as neither of the players they selected were projected in the 3rd round. They were positions of need, but they probably could have gotten both of them later on. Dean was sitting there on a tee for them and they passed.
Dean is too small. obviously they weren’t the only team to think this
I made this only after R1 tho
go browns! oh wait…. 🙁
The Texans are playing with fire taking Stingley over Gardner.
Could say the same about Jacksonville
How bout them Cowboys
Worst pick of round 1.
I’m happy with the Jets picks. I wonder what will go wrong.
LOL, sadly…..
I’m a little surprised the Falcons took London as the top WR. He’s good but I don’t think he’s the best receiver in the draft. They could have used Charles Cross at offensive line or Jordan Davis at defensive line there. I’m also surprised the Steelers took tiny hands Pickett over Malik Willis. I wonder if Willis will fall to the 2nd round. He would be the biggest 2nd round pick if he does. Some people had the Panthers taking Willis at #6 overall.
Tiny hands alert!
You could be anything with with tiny hands. An NFL QB, a twice impeached disgraced former President… anything! Well except for hand model.
Malik Willis is a 6 foot qb from liberty…
you don’t take Tyler Huntley in the 1st round
Willis is multiple inches taller than Russel Wilson or Drew Brees. He’s also more athletic and has a great arm. Using your logic, Wilson and Brees were drafted too high. I have heard no comps to Huntley for Willis because Willis arm is so much better than Huntley. Like I said below, all the comps I hear to Willis are “right handed Michael Vick.” He’s the same size as Vick with a great arm and super athleticism. Brock Osweiler and JaMarcus Russel proves going tall at QB can be a huge mistake while Russel Wilson and Drew Brees proved going short at QB can be a steal. Willis isn’t even that small compared to those 2 guys. He also has a far better arm than Huntley could ever dream of. I would rather roll the dice on Willis 6 foot height than I would Pickett’s miniature hands. Pickett has the smallest hands of any QB in NFL history. He’s talented but the mammoth NFL players are going to make Pickett fumble the ball all over the place because of how tiny his hands are. Pickett fumbled the ball a ton in college and it’s only going to get worse in the NFL.
The fact that Willis played at a small school could be a good thing. That means he did everything he did without any real players to help him. Remember how good USC made Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush look? They only looked so good because they were basically playing for college all star teams and had tons of players to protect them and defenses who always gave them the ball back. I worry about that a lot more than someone who performs well on a bad team. Everyone knew Andrew Luck was going to be great even though he wasn’t in a great team. He played for Stanford. All that means is a player got it done without all the extra stars around to help him that the top college teams do.
It should be interesting. I think Willis will be long gone by the time the Falcons draft 11th today. Detroit or Seattle will take him. If he’s gone, I hope the Falcons get that UGA linebacker or that guy Raimann. Raimann is probably the only potential stud offensive lineman left. After those 3 guys, I don’t really know enough about anyone else available except the other QB’s who are all worse than Willis. The top TE is still on the board but the Falcons don’t need him after drafting Pitts last year. The top running back is still out there. They could always draft him and move Patterson to wide receiver to team up with London. They really need guys in the trenches, though. The O-Line sucks and there isn’t a single player on this Falcons team who had more than 2 sacks last year. You would figure some defensive players would get more than 2 sacks almost by accident.
oh really ?
is that why every team passed on him?
if you have to ramble on like that it’s called coping.
reality is was easier to face
Willis is a trash qb who went r3
12 INT in his final 8 games vs division 2 competition
Wilson was drafted in the third round!
Wilson was a very accurate qb who did all the little things right, which is very similar to Kenny Pickett
Willis is pretty much the opposite … he can juke around a little and fire it downfield ,
however he’s not going to make the consistent game-managing passes underneath.
he’s very similar to Vince Young in that regard
Isn’t there some defensive end who has fallen a lot, too. Kraftalis or something. I’m surprised he and Willis are still in the board. With the Falcons having 2 #2’s and 2 #3’s left, I am hoping they can get at least one of those guys tomorrow. Willis might be a great move for them because I think everyone knows Marcus Mariota isn’t the QB of the future. That guy hasn’t even started a game this decade. Trade up from some of that 2nd and third round depth to get some players who actually matter. We all know the lower guys rarely pan out anyway. Who do you guys think is the worst pick so far of the first round?
Suck again and get a top pick qb with more promise who then has multiple weapons. Willis slight chance to be there for their 2nd rounder
That’s kind of what I’m hoping. I feel like they are going to draft a QB anyway though and out of all of them I would prefer Willis. It would have been dumb to draft him at 8 but I don’t really even know of any star players left Kraftalis was the last player drafted who I thought would really help them more. I would just rather then take Willis over any other QB. Even if they draft Willis they could just draft another QB next season if he sucks. The stupid falcons throw away 2ndneound picks all the time. Hell. They throw away first round picks all the time. Might as well do it with someone I at least recognize.
Malik Willis is the 5th best QB
what’s good about him?
seems like a nice guy tho
@Goku: All the rankings I saw had Willis as the #1 QB even ahead of Pickett. They don’t go based on college performance. They see Willis as more of a project quarterback but they say he has by far the most upside of any QB in the draft. Mel Kiper calls Willis “the right handed Michael Vick.” If Vick didn’t go to prison and had his head screwed on straight in his younger years he would have been really good. He was great in Philly after he finally got out of prison and matured. If Willis ends up being a more mentally mature Michael Vick that could be a steal. I’m not sure why you think he’s 5th best. Everyone else seems to disagree. I can promise he will be the 2nd QB drafted and probably should have been the first.
Michael Vick also went 2nd overall because he was actually an athletic phenom.
Willis & Vick are both black.. that’s about where the comparisons end
Willis is basically Vince Young… but 5 inches shorter
I’m sorry, but I have to say that I am going to trust the opinion of Mel Kiper, Jr. over some random guy named “Goku” on the internet. Kiper is the one who called Willis “a right handed Michael Vick.” Thinking Malik Willis is not some type of “athletic phenom” is underestimating him. Where a player gets drafted has nothing to do with how he will actually perform. Mitchell Trubisky was drafted ahead of Deshaun Watson, Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes. Using your logic, that means Trubisky is the best quarterback of the 4. Do you not remember how high Ryan Leaf and JaMarcus Russel were drafted? The fact that the Raiders and Chargers didn’t pass on them didn’t make them good. Do you remember how low Tom Brady, Russel Wilson, Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers were drafted? The fact that a bunch of teams passed on them didn’t stop them from being great. Also, Michael Vick was not drafted #2. I’m sure Mel Kiper knows that. Yet another reason I will trust his opinion over Goku. That fact that Goku thinks Malik Willis is only “the 5th best quarterback” in this draft shows how little he knows.
Goku: Can you source me one single article that has Willis ranked 5th? I can source you a ton that have Willis ranked #1.
Mel kiper is constantly wrong .
my opinion happens to be reality that Colbert selected Pickett over him and 27 other GMs passed on him including ones with Sam Darnold & Marcus Mariotta as their QB1s
Vick was #1 overall pick out of VT in 01. What are you taking about?
ok #1 or #2 what’s the difference .
point is Malik Willis went round 3 and even that will end up being a huge reach for 7th round talent
NFL channel commentators were surely not fond of the Patriots pick…
Not a glamorous position or high profile college but you don’t win championships by trying to please commentators. It’s the kind of out of the box pick Al Davis often liked to surprise fans with.
imagine questioning Bill Belichicks opinion of an offensive linemen ……..

Will the Packers ever draft a receiver ever again?
They just did.
Winners:
Eagles Giants Lions Chiefs Jets Ravens
Losers:
Falcons Saints Commanders
Green Bay would’ve been a winner had they picked Devin Lloyd instead of Quay Walker but Quay isn’t a bad player. Texans weren’t bad either and Chargers were smart.
Of the trades, excellent for the Eagles to get AJ Brown and extend him. We needed a WR1, I was hoping for DK but I’d rather AJ over Deebo.
Cards getting Hollywood, I don’t like that move. They have Hopkins Green and Moore. At 23 they could’ve had Linderbaum, Tyler Smith or Raimann, could’ve gone defence with Wyatt, Lloyd or Karlaftis.
Walker is going to be fine in GB, but totally get it about Lloyd. I disagree about the Saints draft, I believe they addressed two needs, with the best available at that spot. Both of those guys are immediate starters. Are they flashy picks? probably not, but will they be productive, yes.
They traded up to take Olave who I had going after 20 in the draft.
They took him over Jameson Williams who is a much better WR and I think they could’ve taken Chris Olave later and not traded up and if he was gone they could’ve taken Treylon Burks who I think is also a better WR.
As for the tackle pick, that was the right decision, I just didn’t rate the Olave deal at all
Vikings trade with Detroit – mistake #1 so they go up and take one of the best receivers in the draft.
Move back to #32 and pick Cine when there are two far better players available in Dean and Booth? Mistake #2.
Great start for the new GM. We bailed Cleveland out hiring this guy.
That was a head scratcher, I agree. I think a team is going to get a steal tonight with Dean. Kid just has that football instinct.
define better?
Cine was the #2 safety in the draft
Booth & Dean were both passed on several times by players at the same position
you do know they picked up pick 34 in that trade and can still take Dean or Booth today right?
Can you update it please?
As a Washington fan I am still wondering why I am still a Washington fan. Loyalty should only go so far, right? Another Alabama DL in the second round? Not a need for this team at all. Ugggh. No QB either. Pickett was available but I guess the WFT (I still can’t get on board with calling them the Commanders) is putting their chips all in on Wentz seems like another dumb move.
None of the QBs in this draft are “the guy”. I agree that Wentz isn’t either, but passing on Pickett wasn’t a mistake.
Can we PLEASE get this minimized on desktop? Like scrolling through 5 pages of stuff to get to post after sucks.
