6:54pm: Like Adams’ Raiders contract, Hill’s deal being backloaded inflated the AAV. A nonguaranteed $43.9MM salary in 2026 bumped this contract over $30MM per year, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk notes. Hill’s Miami extension is closer to a three-year deal worth $75MM. The Dolphins are giving Hill $52.5MM fully guaranteed at signing, and another $19.7MM — his 2024 base salary — will be guaranteed in March 2023. Like his lofty 2026 salary, Hill’s 2025 base ($21.8MM) is nonguaranteed. Even at $25MM per year, Hill’s contract compares favorably to Adams and Hopkins’ pacts for short-term value.
11:37am: It’s happening. On Wednesday, the Chiefs agreed to trade Tyreek Hill to the Dolphins (Twitter link via NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport). The deal will send a first-round pick and more to Kansas City, bringing one of the league’s most dynamic playmakers to Miami.
The Dolphins will send a 2022 first-round pick, 2022 second-round pick, 2022 fourth-round pick, 2023 fourth-round pick, and a 2023 sixth-round pick to Kansas City in the deal (Twitter link via PFT). It’s a haul that’s somewhat similar to the trade that moved Davante Adams to the Raiders.
Hill will also ink a contract extension that will position him as the NFL’s highest-paid wide receiver, ahead of Adams, as agent Drew Rosenhaus tells Adam Schefter of ESPN.com (Twitter link). Once finalized, it’ll be a four-year, $120MM megadeal with $72.2MM guaranteed (Twitter link). SI’s Albert Breer adds (on Twitter) that extension talks between Hill and the Chiefs broke down because he wanted to top Adams’ deal, something that Kansas City “balked at”.
The ink has barely dried on Adams’ contract, a five-year, $140MM whopper that gave him $28MM/year, $22.75MM guaranteed at signing, and $42.9MM in effective guarantees. DeAndre Hopkins previously held the mantle at $27MM/year, Adams topped Hopkins at $28MM, and Hill is now the king of the mountain with $30MM per annum.
The Dolphins are now armed with Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Cedrick Wilson, Devante Parker, and Trent Sherfield at wide receiver, giving them one of the most talented WR units in the NFL. That should be plenty to keep defenses honest against quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and open up more running opportunities for Chase Edmonds, Raheem Mostert, and Myles Gaskin.
The Jets were also in talks to acquire Hill this week, and they were willing to give up the No. 10 overall pick in a package for him (Twitter link via Ralph Vacchiano of SNY). The Jets were also willing to give Hill a top-level extension, but, ultimately, the Dolphins had the winning bid. Schefter adds that New York made an offer of picks 35, 38 and 69 in exchange for Hill and No. 103 (Twitter link). He also states that the Chiefs were willing to accept it, had New York been Hill’s preferred destinaiton.
Kansas City, meanwhile, now has a massive hole to fill in their offense. Without the speed of Hill to serve as a compliment to Travis Kelce, their wide receiver room is in need of an addition. To that end, they already signed JuJu Smith-Schuster earlier in free agency, but his skillset is much different than Hill’s. Expected to target a wideout in this April’s draft as early as the first round (where the Chiefs now hold the 29th and 30th overall selections) before this trade, Kansas City now faces even more pressure to do so if they are to maintain their highly-productive passing game.
Lfg Phins UP
Outta the AFC West…bye bye Chiefs
No way bro… now whose Mahomes throwing too on his deep balls?
gonna unironically be a dolphins fan next year. hope mcdaniel can remain awesome
Any of the super deep draft class that they now can pick at will due to the massive overpay by the dolphins.
Not any overpay when your team can’t draft
How dare you attack the Seahawks like that
So in back to back offseasons, they’ve now spent 3 first rounders, 1 second rounder, 2 fourth rounders, and 1 sixth rounder on their top two receivers. Not to mention whatever contract they give Hill.
I suppose the Rams have a “model” now, according to experts who want to sound deep-thinking.
In all seriousness, Miami at least had extra picks to trade, so I can understand. I think we all know that the Rams’ sell out type of strategy is usually disastrous, but they got lucky and pulled a Super Bowl out of it. I suppose trading normally untouchable picks for older players will come into vogue again until a team wins consistently with homegrown talent and changes the narrative again.
The Rams strategy also requires making lots of picks later on in the draft and coaching up those guys. As of right now, the Rams have eight picks in this year’s draft and the Dolphins have five. It’s not an accident the Rams find guys in later rounds. They accumulate tons of picks behind the ones they trade away.
Well, that’s true for this draft, but the Rams haven’t always had a bunch of later picks. They finally realized that they do need some, but they also don’t seem to retain their best/regularly used homegrown players, either. John Johnson, Cory Littleton, Gerald Everett, and Todd Gurley are good examples of significant contributors picked by Snead in this current regime that ended up elsewhere (of course, Gurley regressed significantly, so that’s relevant). Josh Reynolds wasn’t a great talent, but was a significant homegrown contributor that was lost as well. Troy Reeder is another contributor that may not return, and Kenny Young is gone as well.
I think that making that bet-filling your extra roster spots with a litany of lower picks-requires you to both hit on all of those picks (which the Rams haven’t at all times, like any team) and retain them (which the Rams don’t seem to do long term). I just think that it’s a strategy that normally doesn’t work long term and has the potential to snowball.
It can certainly go south on you. And the stars and scrubs strategy can go wrong in an instant with a bad turn of injury luck. But also remember that letting some of those productive but not great players walk nets them compensatory picks. They don’t sign a lot of free agents that count against the comp formula, because they get so many of their stars via trade, so they replenish their picks.
Well, Von Miller is the only one I can think of who netted them something this year, but John Johnson should have too, right? There’s something to be said there, you’re correct.
The Rams should remember that their best player, who is now going to need a contract that will have to be balanced with their new QB, new WR, star CB, and possibly Bobby Wagner, was picked in the first round and made much of this success possible. I agree with your assessment above.
And they didn’t need to draft any of them. I’m not saying it’s the wisest strategy to ape, but it’s worked for them.
Well, once. If they do it again, I’ll reconsider. With stakes that high, that they don’t get the same standard for success. You should be winning championships spending that money…or kicking it down the road for the next guy to deal with.
I guess. But flags fly forever. Even if they end up with just one ring and a few playoff runs, how many organizations/fanbases would kill for that?
Like I said, it worked once. I don’t think that would work for imitators-it’s hard to find a generational player (in this case, Donald) to add several elite contributors to. That’s one thing that made this possible, aside from the massive improvement in McVay’s coaching since the last Super Bowl appearance (and of course the QB improvement, but it’s not exceedingly hard to trade away everything for a talented vet, as the Colts just did as well).
Well, they aimed a little higher than that. Having sound judgment in their all in moves is pretty important—and they’ve mostly only made two in Stafford and Ramsey.
Well looks like it’s the colts chance to prove it’s possible. Probably most home grown team that’s competitive rn.
Is that true? Their QB, their best defensive lineman, and their next most prominent pass rusher are all from elsewhere, and they still need to sort out LT, one CB, and at least one WR. They also might only have a realistic chance to be competitive because they’re in the AFC south. At this point, all of Dallas’ remaining core players are players they drafted. A lot of the arms race is among teams that have built most of their core through the draft and then supplemented with two or three big ticket guys–Denver, Buffalo, even the Chargers.
Tua will make Tyreek a mediocre receiver
Pretty decent chance this comes true, but depending the length of the extension most of the pieces on offense should still be in place if the draft a qb next year or two years from now. It feels like they can swap Tua out for a minimum contract qb pretty easily if it comes to that (and if they have any draft picks left!)
Waddle and Hill is a crazy fast duo at WR. Too bad for them that Tua has a noodle arm.
The OC now just has to decide whether Tua will be throwing a screen to the left or to the right.
Lots of YAC coming to Miami.
The other side of the coin is that theres a pretty decent chance Tyreek helps Tua become a top 10 QB in the league.
Waddle and Hill will open up the offense for Geisiki and Wilson Jr in the slot, as well as, for our RB’s.
Not to mention the upgrades they’ve made on the OL. This offense has a real potential to be great next season.
Can’t coach arm strength, Tua won’t be able to tap into Hill’s gift, break away speed “down field”. Tua is 15 yds and done
Maybe Mahomes made him a great receiver.
OHMANOHGODOHMANOHGODOHMANOHGOD
LOL can’t wait to see how many INTs Tua throws trying to forcefeed Hill.
Doubling down on Tua will be to the detriment of the Dolphins
Tua Time (to step up or siddown)
no excuses for Tua now.
Well, if McDaniel pans out, that is.
We as fans like to see things as “excuses”, but this does not guarantee a great offense. It does help a good deal, unless Hill is purely a product of Andy Reid’s system (which I doubt), but Tua and Miami will still need to work out their running game, overall gameplan, and protection before Tua can take advantage of these great receivers. If they do give him a good opportunity, and he still doesn’t succeed, then yes, I would agree. I’m not completely sold on Tua honestly but Miami has had a couple of issues other than receiver. Hill helps but doesn’t solve the other offensive issues that the Dolphins had. It does take away the receiver argument, or at lessens it severely, as long as these guys stay healthy.
Hill isn’t the only acquisition of the off-season. They signed the top avail OT and brought in a good rated G on top of all the high drafted linemen remaining on the roster, they upgraded the RB groups, and now WR’s.
The offense now should be able to finally compliment the good-great defense Miami already has.
Miami can still create more cap space to add a better C and upgrade Inside LB, add another pass rusher, as well as the remaining picks in this draft to add more talent/depth.
Not to mention Miami still has two 1st rounders next year.
Miami is trending in the right direction. It put up or shut up time now in Miami.
Again, it’s gotta work. That’s my point. On paper, sure, it looks great. But we have to stop evaluating the offense before it even takes the field. At that point we’ll see how they play. I actually expect Tua to have some struggles, but we need to actually see how they play before making judgements. Plenty of times a talented player has changed teams and not performed as well as expected, or a team does not use its talent the right way. So I’ll wait to see how Tua actually plays before putting it all on his shoulders. He has played a good bit since being drafted, but hasn’t been trusted to grow much at all under the previous regime, which has stunted his development.
Tua may just be mediocre his whole career, but it certainly does feel as if he’s going to get his first to actually develop under a new staff. I agree though that he is in much, much better spot than he was before-and honestly, I think that coaching is the biggest positive change for him personally.
Definitely no excuses for him. They added to the oline, RB, & WR groups. Now I guess we’ll see if they’ll be able to put a defense on the field in a couple years with all this money going to the offense. They better be stacking up on defense in the draft that way they’ll have some cheap rookie deals on that side of the ball.
gotta get some o line then stack defense
Don’t they still have a horrible offensive line?
That’s what happens when your QB takes up 1/4 of the cap
This is a tired talking point and it’s off base here anyway. 1) Mahomes is not taking up 1/4 of their cap. 2) The cap is going to go way up starting next year. 3) Mahomes is going to be on this team a lot longer than anyone else who was on their last Super Bowl team, and at some point they have to make hard decisions about how much to commit to skill position players on the wrong side of 30. This isn’t about not being able to put players about Mahomes. It’s about roster and budget planning. This Cowboys offseason is what happens when you try to keep everyone at all costs for too long.
He got traded because they could not afford him, KC offered him as much as they could afford and stay under the cap, but it wasnt enough to make him the highest paid WR in the league which is what Hill wanted. They couldnt afford him because of the money being paid to Mahomes. starting in 2023, Mahomes’ percentage balloons to nearly 19 percent of the cap. your right though, not quite 1/4.
If they thought it was worth making that work, they could have prioritized that. They might just not want to give the biggest WR deal ever to a 28-year old speed demon. Last offseason they spent a first round pick on a tackle they knew they would have to pay big money the next year and they gave out the biggest guard contract in history. Frank Clark is a merely OK player making star money. They drafted a RB in the first round and now have to pay a so so back who can’t stay on the field actual money. Treating Mahomes’ contract like it’s the financial albatross holding everything back is silly.
Mahomes cap hit this year is 35.8 mill.
Whats the cap this year? 208 mill?
So Mahomes is taking up roughly 17% of the cap.
1/4 would be 25% of the cap.
Mahomes cap hits also go up significantly starting in 2023.
2023 – 46.8
2024 – 44.3
2025 – 46.3
2026 – 42
2027 – 60
2028 – 44.5
2029 – 45
2030 – 50.5
2031 – 52.5
The cap is also going to go up significantly and now they have a ton of picks to put rookie deals around him.
We’re not allowed to speak of the salary cap going up, cuz it hasn’t been “confirmed” yet. Only legit, proven stuff like how Rodgers, Adams, and now Hill’s AAV’s are actual cap figures…
We’re not allowed to speak of a thing that by every indication will happen?
just saying: No QB that has taken up more than 12.5 % of the cap has won a superbowl in the last 15yrs. why is that?
Well a third of those 12 are Tom Brady, who’s the all time great and took below market money, so that’s not a replicable strategy. One was a veteran backup who caught fire, so also a fluke. So now you’re down to a teeny tiny sample, especially considering how few QBs have ever taken up that chunk of space. Would you trade away a Mahomes and restart by taking your chances on a rookie contract QB rather than pay him market value?
Are we allowed to talk about the Chiefs, like a lot of other teams, will negotiate with Mahomes to provide him with a bonus to lower his cap number? Because that seems pretty legit too.
No. Even after GB did restructures or extensions with several players to get under for the ’23 season, the argument became the future cap problem stuff.
Every player is simply the greediest human alive, and GM’s and other F.O. people involved in contracts are the dumbest people for pushing money forward, with no proof or real guarantee that the cap will increase (rather dramatically from what I have read).
And even if it does increase to help [Insert Team Here] it’s going up for all teams so somehow that makes it not a thing for [I.T.H].
The correct answer is “yes”. Because the point of this portion of the thread is the percentage that Patrick Mahomes’ salary cap number makes up of the total salary cap for the Chiefs. After the Chiefs restructure his deal, by providing him with a bonus, it will provide the team with even more salary cap room and a lower percentage going to Patrick Mahomes.
pain.
Great wide receivers look unstoppable when top QBs are throwing them the rock. They almost become an afterthought with average QBs. This will not end well for Miami or Hill. But he gets paid so I guess there’s that.
Hill’s speed makes up for everything. Make a short screen pass and let him run around for 60 yards.
great, he will be the fastest guy on a bad team, good for him.
19-14 the past 2 years = a bad team?
Yes, lol.
Adams holding out for new contract now
That sound you hear is Mahomes hitting his sneaker head on the floor after fainting
Ju Ju suddenly got really happy.
Why would you give up this much if you aren’t in win now mode and you can easily draft a good receiver in the first and second round this draft? This doesn’t put them above the Bills or Pats and good luck getting a wildcard with the talent in the AFC North and West.
First of all, Hill is not just any “good receiver”. Second, Miami may not be ready to compete with the Bills but they beat the Pats both times they played last year – so what makes you think they are not above them now?
He is a great receiver who is 28, about to get massively paid, and cost a 1st, 2 seconds, and a 4th. It’s an opportunity cost question. Would you rather have Hill, or draft a WR or even 2 this year, and have the chance to draft a first round talent, 2 second round talents, and a 4th who are all going to be young and cost controlled. Then think about the fact this is a team still building up without certainty at QB.
Picks all day.
Black Ace57: There is only one 2nd rounder in the deal. With Hill and the signing of Wilson it probably means they trade Devante Parker who should net a decent pick – perhaps a 2nd . So it is essentially Hill for a 1 and a 2. The Dolphins obviously think they are closer to contending than you do. Did you think the Bengals were contenders last offseason? Did you think the Rams gave up too many picks the last 3 years?
That is my bad. Still, 1 1st, 1 2nd, 2 4ths, and a 6th is a lot when it is for a 28 year old WR who is about to get one of the largest WR contracts in the league and his game is speed based. I would draft 2 WRs this year and still get to enjoy having 2 4ths and a 6th and the cap space and player control.
You bring up the Rams. The Rams are a veteran team who traded for a franchise caliber QB who just never got the chance to show it in the playoffs. They have one of the best defensive players of the past 30 years and a ton of other talent and weapons. You go all in with that.
The Bengals have a stud young QB who really only had issues from a bad line leading to injuries. Also, it’s a terrible example as they didn’t trade for a vet WR like Julio Jones last year. They went and drafted a guy in the first round which is exactly my point!
@Black Ace57 Stop making comments that make sense. Right now the Dolphins have pulled even with the Raiders for the “Champions of the Offseason” Trophy! Going to be a tight race. Until September when the real contenders start playing.
8 wins in the last 9 games doesn’t qualify as “win now” mode? I think this deal has the potential to benefit both teams.
Glad he’s out of the afc. Makes chiefs easier to guard since you only need to worry about kelce.
He’s not out of the AFC
Did you mean KFC ?
KFC = Kansas Freakin City..?
“did you mean KFC” made me laugh till I cried and I have no idea why hahahahhahaha
Hill + Waddle is a pretty nasty 1/2 duo
What good is it having the highest paid WR when u have a QB while he is talented is way to inconsistent and not very durable.
Well, hopefully he won’t have the worst OL in football anymore and will stay healthier.
They gave away Way to much for WR
I wonder if the Seahawks are willing to pay DK Metcalf in that contract territory for his extension. If not, they should look to trade him for a similar haul.
Metcalf is good, but not on Hill’s level. Seattle could possibly get 2s for him, but not 1s.
tua a very happy man right now
Such a smart move by the Chiefs. Hills skill set will not age well. And the Dolphins..still don’t have a guy to throw him the ball. So I hope Hill enjoys money more than winning.
That haul is INSANE! Especially for a team not ready to win right now AND with a questionable QB. KC will clearly miss Hill, but the cap space and all that draft capital is an overall win for them.
They are ready to win right now. Why don’t people see this?
The moves they’ve made this off-season are tremendous and have positioned them to compete with anyone.
They have a great defense, a ton of pass catching talent, solid RBs, and a drastically improved O-Line. With McDaniels and his run first philosophy, they can control any game. And, Tua should be better this year and doesn’t need to carry this team anyways.
I’ll have some of what you’re smoking. New coaches combined with a carousel of personnel changes and ownership issues (lawsuits and an NFL investigation). That’s what most people who have their eyes open are seeing.
Tyrek will be forgotten in Miami. Chasing the money instead of winning
72M guaranteed, that’s winning
Trade for Mayfield…He might be good enough
So kc out here not caring about his Qb that they paid good money to try to win with? What was the point of this?? It makes their offense worse. Ju ju is no hill
I guess it Mia made KC an offer they couldn’t refuse
If the draft deep . They can get two wrs for the price of one but no one will be hill.
I’d venture to say Mecole Hardman gets a significant increase in his role. He was drafted to be Tyreke Hill 2.0 couple years back when Hill was facing legal trouble or something and a suspension was a possibility.
KC will also probably draft a WR at the back end of the 1st with 1 of their 2 1sts this year. Treylon Burks might be there.
Boy that escalated quickly – Ron Burgundy
So the Chiefs signed Juju just to trade Hill. That’s flat out dumb. Could’ve been an awesome 1-2 WR.
I highly doubt that. I’m sure they were aware of Hill’s desire for a new contract and either saw he wouldn’t be sticking around this year, or hoped to squeeze out a year with the 2 before parting ways with Hill.
It’s basically what happened though. They signed Juju and later traded Hill. They went 3 years younger and a lot cheaper. That’s what happened when you give Mahomes 45+mil a year for the next 10 years.
The Chiefs could not afford what Hill was wanting, Maholmes huge cap hit kicks in this coming season., They needed to upgrade the OL. They could not do that and pay Hill, They chose the OL over Hill
As a Bills fan, I couldn’t be more psyched about this trade!!!!! He kills us every single time we play the chiefs. As a dolphin, so what? No way Tua is going to be able to get him the ball enough to beat us on the regular. He ain’t Mahomes.
Go Bills!!!!!!
Cool. Now the Fins just need a QB who can get the ball to these talented WRs. Good luck!
Surprise team for baker? But than again baker wouldn’t be any better
Funny how Tua had no problem getting the ball to talented WR in college with Jeudy,
Waddle, D. Smith, et al. Seems to me that he has plenty of talent to get the job done…just needs a little blocking…which should be improved this year. I think Tua will be just fine
Didn’t they lose Robinson & Pringle to free agency?
Veach nails it again. He can use the draft capital to grab a quality WR in the draft and try to replace that production at a fraction of the cost which frees up room to improve elsewhere.
Also Polish Hammer
“Miami continues to buiild a AAAA team. “
Wow…way to go KC!!! Thats a haul!!!
Wow that’s a lot of picks for one receiver. Think I would’ve took my chances with the draft. Gonna be some good receivers coming out. Tyquan Thorton is just a little faster that Tyreek.
Don’t hate the deal for the chiefs. They get a bunch of picks and can instead spent 20+mil upgrading the roster.
Try get OBJ who would be a terrific fit. Bring back Sammy Watkins on a cheap deal or risk it with giving AB another chance?
Trade a 4th rounder for Saquon Barkley. If he can get healthy he would be a huge addition.
Bring back Mathieu and maybe reach out to Stephen Gilmore and see if you can nab him at a cheaper rate.
Giants are not trading Saquon for a 4th. If they were going to do that, they would have done it already.
so the Chiefs have the 29 and 30 pick in the draft. they’re not going to be able to get one of the elite four wide receivers in this draft that low. as an eagle fan I’m hoping they will offer the 29 and the 30 to Philly for the 19th so they can get Jameson Williams or Chris olave whoever.
Adams and hill will have the same amount of yards lol. This board acting like Derek Carr is so much of an upgrade over Tua having one of the best pass percentage lol. Y’all make my day.
McDaniel’s offense is designed for speed and quickness over 50 yard shock and awe… the dolphins now have 4 pass catchers (Waddle, Hill, Gesicki, Parker) that need double teams in normal situations… this is gonna be a crazy offense.
More of the same in Miami, high priced wr, no draft picks, same old shift. The Dolphins will never get out of their own way. The Red Sox had the curse of the Bambino, the Dolphins have the curse of Marino.
Dolphins still have two first round picks next year. The roster is littered with 1-3 rounders on the defensive line, oline, and secondary from the past 3 years. Not to mention Tua and Waddle on their rookie contracts.
Not since the Fins had Brandon Marshall had the fins had a really high priced WR.
They solidified the Oline with 2 great Oline pick ups. Added talent to the RB group. Free agency isn’t over and the draft is still on the way to continue to add talent/depth throughout the team…
So please elaborate on what the f*** you’re talking about?
Does not deserve to be the highest paid WR, but good for him.
AFC west is now the chargers to lose. Who do the chiefs have minus Kelce? Juju hasn’t been good for a few years, seems like this drops them just above Vegas
I love that thought, but I think the Raiders have done well over the off season and will have say in all of this too. And with Russell Wilson in Denver they will be harder to beat. The AF C West will be a shootout.
Have you seen all the moves the chargers made? That team is stacked and I say that as a cowboys fan. I still have the bills over them but chargers I think are the 2nd best team
Who in their right mind would trade 5 draft picks and give $30 million a year for a wide receiver? Oh that’s right. The Dolphins would
Dying laughing over here. Davante Adams just HAD to be the highest paid WR in the NFL, because his EGO told him it must be so. Wow, that lasted a whole what….couple days? Way to go, Davante!! Now let’s make it sound like you wanted the trade because of family and because you were always a Raider fan. Where was any of this talk BEFORE Hilll signed his contract and passed you? You lying piece of egotistical crap! It’s all about the money and the ego, and that’s always what it’s been with that guy. So glad he got burned SO QUICKLY!!
Hes making up being a Raiders fan? So, you’re saying the photo of him from like 3rd grade wearing a Raiders jersey is fake? And just pretending the talk for like the past 2 years about wanting to reunite with Carr, his college teammate, never happened?
The greed thing..again, should he have taken less than top dollar just because someone else was going to get more at some point? As for Hill already signing a bigger deal..you honestly think Adams is crying over that?
SMH Im a Jets fan as the saying goes; “Same old Same old” I don’t think the Jets will never ever be good. They counting the Draft picks. They think they will find the next Tom Brady or hill. They should of traded for Watson that would be a start then hill. BUT, Noooo cheap cheap cheap. Douglas is a terrible GM. He did nothing for the Jets.
What is it with Chris Grier since he has torn apart the Dolphins by trading all the Dolphin Stars away for Draft Picks & every year since he just keeps trading draft picks to the point that Grier sent a 2022 1st round pick to San Francisco & now he sends the other 2022 1st, 2nd & 4th round picks to Kansas City plus 2 picks next year. OH YEAH he also drafted the 3rd best QB who can’t stay on the field in the 2020 Draft
Hilarious comments from some people on here.. I’m not sold on TUA, but I will say this…
Miami’s line ranked last in the league last season. TUA didn’t have time to throw, much less have time for WR’s to get open.
Miami had a defensive oriented coach last season.. That has changed…
Miami’s WR’s were again a carrousel of players because Fuller was a bust, Parker injured, Wilson-regressed, and teams constantly focused on two players.. Mike Gesicki and Jaylen Waddle.. THAT’s changing.
I’m not crowning the Dolphins because it’s time for TUA to put up or be benched by Bridgewater.. But the potential to make a run is there with the moves this season.
Chiefs still have the second fastest WR in Hardman. Who, may be a little faster than Hill now given that Hill is older than Hardman and age doesn’t increase speed.
Wouldn’t it be ironic is we replace Tyreek Hill with Daxton Hill with pick 29?
