Odell Beckham Jr. has a rough idea of what he wants to do next season. As he gets set for the Super Bowl, the star wide receiver says he’s hoping to remain with the Rams.

“This place, it feels good in my heart,” OBJ said (Twitter link via Nick Shook of NFL.com). “It feels like a home.”
Beckham even went so far as to say that he would take a little less to stay in Los Angeles. “Yeah, of course,” Beckham said when asked whether he’d be open to a hometown discount.
Beckham, still only 29, has posted 19 grabs for 236 yards and a touchdown so far in the playoffs. And, while his 27/305 showing in the second half of the regular season wasn’t in line with his best work, he did register five TDs in his eight regular season games for the Rams. Some say that Beckham has been a diva in the past but, this year, he’s embraced his role as the No. 2 WR alongside Cooper Kupp (in Robert Woods’ stead).
The Rams surely feel the same way, but they’ll have to work some cap magic in order to keep OBJ in the fold. As of this writing, they’re projected to be roughly $14MM over the limit in March. Fortunately for the Rams, Beckham seems willing to meet them somewhere in the middle.
Wow…anyone surprised?
Seriously. F*** OBJ. Every article should be about Kupp. Bcs he actually matters.
Wat
again, as I’ve said before, OBJ winning a ring would tick so many people off and I’m so here for it.
Hello Captain Obvious
Until the free-agency period kicks in. Let’s see what happens when the Rams make that first offer, especially with their impending cap issues.
Miller’s 20mil expires, get him to accept a reduced amount like 8mil, and then pay OBJ 10mil.
Would also look at some roster cuts to save money then grab some cheap deals towards the end of FA. Imagine getting a Mitchell Swartz and Earl Thomas possibly for really low prices.
Sounds ridiculous, I know but it is LA amd this is a super bowl team. Players will take reduced money to win rings playing with their mates.
Not all players are willing to take reduced dollars to play for rings. Lebron Bell is the first player that comes to mind. Most players look to capitalize on the fact they were part of a winning team. And while folks may think OBJ would take a reduced salary, I doubt it would be much considering his Rolex habit and hair product upkeep.
Miller’s 20 million doesn’t save any cap because it’s not considered part of the cap. I would be very surprised if Beckham and Miller would accept under 10 million. A team with cap issues can’t pay 3 receivers 40 million. Who are you willing to cut to pay for those guys? The Rams would have 6 guys making 60% of the team’s total salary
He’s said that on every team he’s been on. Then turns around and trashes them.
The plan was always to play for the Rams
Mr. Hollywood….one made for the other…..if he would get a contract with the Rams, lets just see how long he likes playing second fiddle to Kupp!
OBJ or James Harden?
Ones fat, travels & has zero rings. The other is multi dimensional, has amazing hands & will be a champion with a 3 million dollar bonus Monday morning
The fat one gets 3 million for just showing up for a little over a weeks worth of work without getting pounded.
