After considering an offer from the Chiefs last offseason, wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster will give Kansas City another long look this time around. According to Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com, the Steelers wideout “is interested in potentially joining the Chiefs again.”
According to Wilson, the JuJu/Chiefs connection is “no secret in NFL circles,” and many league sources believe the impending FA is hoping to join Kansas City.
Smith-Schuster hasn’t come close to matching his Pro Bowl-worthy 2018 campaign. Following a forgettable 2019 campaign, JuJu somewhat bounced back in 2020, finishing with 97 catches and a career-high nine touchdowns. Still, the former second-round pick had to settle for a one-year, $8MM deal from Pittsburgh for the 2021 campaign.
The 25-year-old struggled to stay on the field in 2021 thanks to early-season shoulder surgery. He ultimately saw time in only five games, hauling in 15 receptions for 129 yards.
In Kansas City, Smith-Schuster would be joining a high-flying offense that’s led by Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce. Receivers Byron Pringle and Demarcus Robinson are set to hit free agency this offseason.
No suprises here.
He’s either going to take the big money offer or team up with a bunch of other stars on a contender, look good for 1 season, then look to get the money.
He’s always just after clout
Can you blame the guy for wanting to play with the Chiefs then getting a big money deal? Why do you play in the NFL if you don’t want to get paid?
I don’t mind the ploy at all but I just don’t really like him. He’s had 1 good season and then mucked around on TikTok and pissed everyone off even his teammates and didn’t care.
Now he’s trying to publicly state I want to join this really good team in FA like he’s some star. You don’t see Christian Kirk, Micheal Gallup, DJ Chark or Will Fuller doing this. Cause it’s just lame and unprofessional. Sign with them in FA then announce it to the world, surprise the fans and get everyone excited.
I’m not sure where you’re coming up with him publicly stating he wants to play for the Chiefs. You’re just fabricating details to fit your narrative it seems.

8 seconds is all it took to find this.
What does that show? That he resigned with Pittsburg……..
Who’s gonna pay JuJu big money after this season? Where he only played 5 games for 129 yards.
He would if it was available. Hes saying I want to join the chiefs cause he knows the money won’t be there. However I could be if he plays well next year. But whatever stats he puts up will only look good cause he’s playing with a top 5 QB, on a title contender, under Andy Reid, on an offence with Kelce and Hill.
“He’s always just after clout.”
You mean like when he came back from shoulder surgery to play in the postseason for us? I agree he acted like a child in 2020, but let’s not pretend he’s some awful teammate
Agreed. As long as he wasn’t signed for 10m+, I wouldn’t hate seeing JuJu on my favorite team. So long as a player’s transgressions are non-violent, I’m mostly for giving second chances. He just needs to show he can stay healthy, which would be my concern with seeing my favorite team hand out big money.
The eagles will be in the mix
no thanks. plenty of question marks here, save his tiktok ability (pass).
What would those question marks be?
healthy? ability to be as productive as his desired price tag?
He has been pretty product his whole career. Now imagine if he signs with a team that has a decent QB.
Name only. That’s what we have here.
I’d love to see NE go after him but they won’t
Would be interesting, though the Patriots need a true #1 WR.
Too many issues on defense to sign big money WR.
I don’t think he would command a big contract probably a 1 or 2 yr deal
Thats funny because I’m interested in joining the Chiefs too…
Typical Steeler clown. No one in the league thinks half as much about JuJu..as JuJu.
He’ll fit in great with Jackson and Brittany.
Well, at least he knows enough to get out of Pittsburgh before their Roethlisberger replacements make him look like a chump. As for KC, I wouldn’t mess up my WR chemistry to get a guy that isn’t appreciably better than anything I already have.
He is way better then any of the #2 WR Kansas City has had in recent memory.
I don’t want anyone who expresses they would like to be somewhere else. Buh bye! Look at the success LaVeon Bell and Antonio Brown have had since they left. Brown has a ring but my grandmother could have settled in nicely with a loaded Bucs/Brady team.
He is a free agent though? It’s not like he demanded a trade
My bet is he doesn’t end up in KC. I don’t think the Chiefs will prioritize him. He’ll have to settle for a much lesser deal to go there.
Plus he isn’t likely to get many catches.
I think Pringle has played himself into a new contract, especially since he’s shown success as a WR and ST player. I like Robinson — highly athletic but not reliable enough to fit into KCs schemes any longer. Hardman is a burner but remains a question mark. Shuster is likely to have a high price tag for a WR3 and #4 option overall. Pass.
Probably so he can dance with Mahomes’ brother.
