The Patriots’ entire 2020 NFL Draft class is now in the fold. The Pats have agreed to terms with second-round safety Kyle Dugger, according to ESPN.com’s Field Yates (on Twitter). With that, the Pats have become the first team in the league to sign their entire lot of draft picks.
Although he was a second round choice, Dugger was the first player chosen by the Patriots at No. 37 overall. Evaluators around the league were high on the Division-II Lenoir-Rhyne product, even though most fans weren’t familiar with him.
Dugger definitely isn’t your average rookie – he’s already 24 and he comes to the Patriots with only seven games worth of footage from 2019, thanks to a hand injury. He was, however, a second-team All-American last year, and the Pats like his upside.
Here’s the full breakdown of the Patriots’ 2020 draft class, via PFR’s tracker:
2-37: Kyle Dugger, S (Lenoir-Rhyne): Signed
2-60: Josh Uche, LB (Michigan): Signed
3-87: Anfernee Jennings, OLB (Alabama): Signed
3-91: Devin Asiasi, TE (UCLA): Signed
3-101: Dalton Keene, TE (Virginia Tech): Signed
5-159: Justin Rohrwasser, K (Marshall): Signed
6-182: Michael Onwenu, G (Michigan)
6-195: Justin Herron, T (Wake Forest): Signed
6-204: Cassh Maluia, LB (Wyoming): Signed
7-230: Dustin Woodard, C (Memphis): Signed
The worst draft in BB history hell worst off season ever (not because Brady left)
I fail how you can make a statement like that before a game has even been played.
No offense but I trust Belichick and his team of evaluators over your opinion on a drafted players ability.
*Fail to see
Forgive him for not being excited over the D2 saftey who played only 7 games vs mediocre competition and trading up for to reach for back to back Tight Ends. Bills draft talent evaluation has been getting worse and he has been flat out wasting his high picks. Bill and his evaluators loved Isaiah Wynn, Duke Dawson and N’Keal Harry. How’d that work out?
Let’s see how a Harry will do this year – I for one am very high on him and excited to see what he can do now that he is healthy. Wynn – last time I checked LT are getting HUGE money and he is our left tackle. Seems to me he has protected the Goat when he has been healthy…
Asiasi wasn’t a reach and either was Keene, they traded u for a reason. Just because all the pundits say “oh he’s supposed to go there” doesn’t mean it where he’ll go, Dugger had elite Athletism for a safety, and every coaches have busts. Btw Wynn has played great when he’s on the field, and Harry had one year when injured. You’re gonna say he was a bust like that?
You and your other idiot buddies need to go root for Tampa Bay
Hahaha, that was funny..
I really don’t think it was a bad draft. Everyone criticizes BB for his drafts and yet he’s finding ways to get to the post season almost every year he’s been the GM/HC.
Say what you want but no other team can boast BB’s winning record or his in game adjustments skill. Draft or no draft he finds ways to get players on board and useful no matter where or if they were drafted.
The results speak for themselves..
Onwenu has signed with the Patriots too, just they didn’t put the link up on here.
