I’d have to be pretty hunger to pay $825K for a Taco.
How many years have you been waiting to use that joke? Ugh
How does Jordan Jenkins get 15 sacks the past 2 seasons and get only one year 3.75 mil deal
Possibly because tackling is important too and he has only 3 solo tackles for each sack.
Jets are going to be cutting it close to the cap if they sign anyone of note like Ryan or Warford (They’d have to shed salary to make a run at Clowney), so that was probably the best Jenkins would get. I doubt he got offered more elsewhere.
I live in the NY area and have to watch the Jets. Most sacks come from coverage and designed pressure. He is good against the run and in the locker room so that’s the main reason he was brought back.
Can we discuss how the Bears gradually downgraded from Amos to Clinton-Dix to a minimum deal with Gipson over the span of just two seasons?
I don’t think Clinton-Dix was much of a downgrade at all if there even was one. wish they would have resigned him. Gipson is a big downgrade though, but a vet looking for a bounce back year just like Clinton-Dix who was really good in Chicago. they’re hoping it works again.
Gipson isn’t that big a downgrade. He had a poor year last year, but he was a very sought after free agent a couple years ago. His style actually fits a bit more at SS than Haha anyways.
He hasn’t been the same since he left Cleveland. PFF seems to agree
Amos was the 11th best defender on that team. One trick pony can tackle and can cover WRs as long as they stay at the line of scrimmage.
One-trick pony? Off of what basis? Amos has consistently ranked among the top ten safeties the last three seasons
sure helps when you play on one of the best defenses in the league in Chicago.
That doesn’t mean he automatically sucks. Perhaps he was a reason WHY they had one the better defenses…
he doesn’t suck, but Dix was better in 2019 than Amos was in 2018, Bears made a wise move and saved money doing it. GB still has a good safety in Amos, it was a win/win, worked out for the Bears and Amos. we’ll find out in 2020 how much the bears miss either of them
I’ll admit it was a bit rash to call Clinton-Dix a downgrade. However, it’s still worth noting how incompetent the Bears’ management has been recently. Between the overpays for Graham/Quinn and the Foles trade, it’s looking rather bleak for the Monsters of Midway
Personally I believe it’s great they’ve finally admitted they made a mistake with Trubisky. Love the Foles trade, like the Quinn pickup, absolutely hate the Graham pickup.
Not at the rate they’re paying him. They basically gave up a fourth to absorb a burdensome contract for a quarterback with a questionable track record outside Philly. I’m also not sure if Quinn is worthy of a 5-year commitment
You could say the exact same thing about HHCD!
Maybe ask why he’s on his fourth team in two years.
Having added TACO Charlton, the Chiefs are also seeking out players with the first names:
BURRITO,
ENCHILADA,
TOSTADA,
CHALUPA,
QUESADILLA,
GORDITA,
QUESARITO
NACHO,
&
CRUNCHWRAP
The Chiefs will have to wait until Goodell expands the league to Mexico.
The rumored acquisition of Le’Veon BELL to pair up with
TACO Charlton, at this point remains just a rumor…..
Maybe they can find a PACHO to go with TACO.
