NFL commissioner Roger Goodell says he’ll meet with Browns defensive end Myles Garrett in the next 60 days (via Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com). Garrett is under indefinite suspension from the NFL for his actions in an ugly November brawl with the Steelers and quarterback Mason Rudolph.
One league source told Cabot that he expects Garrett to be reinstated after meeting with Goodell, though the commish declined to speculate on how the meeting might go. Already, Garrett has been withheld from six games, costing him $1.14MM in lost pay, not including his $45K fine.
Garrett struck Rudolph with his helmet and later alleged that the QB used a racial slur against him. Rudolph and his attorney have vehemently denied the accusation.
Recently, Garrett was permitted to return to the Browns’ practice facility, which may be an indication that the league is ready to welcome him back. Meanwhile, teammates tell Cabot that Garrett has been in good spirits.
If Garrett is re-instated after meeting with Goodell, he’ll be eligible to partake in the Browns’ voluntary offseason program, which gets underway on April 6.
You can’t fix dirty players.
Nope, Mason will have a tough time finding a new job
only thing worse than using a racial slur is falsely accusing someone of using a racial slur
Idk if it’s worse but I agree that it’s pretty pitiful.
I didn’t know you were on the field that day? Got anymore inside information?
well here comes your typical auto response from your daily comment section hall monitors…’I didn’t know you were on the field or court that day’; ‘you’ve must’ve been inside the locker room’; ‘arm chair GM’; ‘who’s your source’; ‘how long have you played professional sports?’, ‘good thing you’re not the GM’….blah blah etc. etc…Come on’ hall monitors come up with some new stuff!
He was dirty long before he tried to kill Mason with a helmet.
“But before Thursday’s incident, Garrett had been fined $50,000 for several penalties, notably punching Delanie Walker of the Tennessee Titans and two roughing-the-passer plays on Jets quarterback Trevor Siemian, one of which ended his season.”
Here is one from your own, and this was written 3 weeks into the season. Do your own research next time, buddy.

DIRTY PLAYER.
You sure can’t. I’m not sure which one of the brothers are worse burflict or garrett. They should both be suspended this coming year as well. Hopefully then they will realize playing dirty is not acceptable.
If Rudolph truly did not use a racial slur, and I seriously doubt he did, then Garrett’s accusation is even more troubling and unacceptable than the helmet incident itself. He’s a complete POS scum bag if he falsely accused him of using a racial slur just to deflect attention from his own actions. If I were Goodell, I would interview every single person within earshot of that play and see if anyone at all corroborates Garrett’s story. If no one does, I’d suspend him this entire season for the bs racial card he played.
People have been falseley claiming racism to either get out of trouble or to benefit themselves for years now. It’s obvious to most people.
What made it obvious in this case is the fact that it didn’t surface until his hearing. If a slur was used I would have been blasting it in every post game interview etc regardless of whether my reaction was justified
There are a million microphones on the field, especially since this was a prime time game, and not one of them picked up a racial slur from Rudolph.
Jussie Garrett
Myles Smollett
Did you notice that Tomlin was so upset after that game then later on issues an apology for the actions of his players and Rudolph hardly played at all
Rudolph hardly played because he sucks and cannot throw an accurate ball more than 10 yards downfield. It didn’t have anything to do with this incident.
A race baiting, roid raging clown.
Can anyone post anything positive about anything Cleveland Browns?
Or is negativity towards them all that comes out of your brains?
The Cleveland Browns breath in oxygen and release carbon dioxide which is needed by plants.
So, that’s good.
Nice
Why does it upset you so much that people who do not follow your sports team like to talk trash about them? I mean, welcome to sports fandom.
I don’t know. Maybe it’s because I enjoy intelligent and meaningful back-and-forth when discussing sports, and not the constant drivel and worthless, meaningless negativity that has polluted this once decent website.
You must be new to forums. This isn’t your safe place. It would do you good to open your mind to differing opinions because maybe you’d learn something.
The Browns are not a good team. They have an inept front office. They can’t get out of their own way. Myles Garrett attacked a person with a weapon on the field and tried to justify it by being called a name. Other people who were there said that never happened. So, people will have to make up their own minds who to believe until some further evidence comes out.
Regardless, attacking somebody with a weapon is not acceptable in reciprocation of being called a name.
My mind is open to differing opinions. It’s just not open to the same worthless crap over and over,
How about all these people who say the same thing over and over say something intelligent for once?
Now you have included yourself in their category with the nonsense you just posted. Like I said — drivel.
You’ve just proven your closed mind status. I’ve posted nothing that was nonsense. The Cleveland Browns have been one of the worst franchises of the last decade plus and that can be proven by actual records and statistics.
They’ve been one of the most poorly run organizations based on the results and their constant front office turnover. This is also a fact.
Myles Garrett attacked somebody with a weapon on the field. This is a fact.
These are all intelligent and factual statements. Perhaps if you don’t enjoy reading comments like this about your favorite team they should do something to change the narrative or you should choose to support a better team.
So no, your mind isn’t open. You’ve proven it clearly with your statements. Continue to be an ostrich.
Intelligent? (insert face palm)
I’m done trying to explain my thoughts with you. In fact, I’m done responding with all you Browns haters after I put a period at the end of this sentence.
truth is that Mason’s emotions were running on adrenaline which caused him to stutter.
He meant to say “Get off me Myles” but it came out as “Get off me nacker”
Happens more often than you might believe; ask Allison Morris
