The Jaguars plan to stick with Nick Foles, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com (on Twitter). Despite the emergence of Gardner Minshew, the Jaguars intend to keep the one-time Super Bowl winner on the roster. 
The Jaguars spent significant dollars to sign Foles in the offseason, only to watch him suffer a broken collarbone in the season opener. Since then, Minshew has had some impressive moments, but the Jaguars are not getting carried away with Minshew Mania.
With that, Foles will stay on the roster, barring a drastic change in thinking between now and Tuesday’s trade deadline. The Jags reportedly plan to activate Foles for Week 11, after he’s had a few weeks of practice. In the meantime, Minshew will work to keep things up and try to keep a hold on the starting job. His latest resume booster came on Sunday, when he dissected the Jets for three touchdowns en route to an easy win.
The Jaguars, with Minshew under center, will take on the Texans in London on Sunday.
Why would they? he’s their starter….
They can’t trade him. It would show the sheer incompetency of the front office. Last year re-upping Bortles, then the Foles trade and sign this year. What’s that about $100m misguided? Fireable right there.

I don’t think they should trade Foles……but if they did it would be a Coup……not “incompetence” if they could save the money AND get even more draft picks.

IF they decided to trade Foles it would be even more genius if they shed his contract and got picks as well “now that they have Minshew”.
If I had to choose a quarterback between Nick Foles and Carson Wentz I’d take with Nick. Call me stupid but his numbers override your opinion

Umm, the Bears didn’t trade ALL of their picks for Mack. True, they don’t have a 1st rounder this year, but I wouldn’t trade a 1st for Foles or Minshew anyways. The Bears do have two 2nd rounders though. If the Jags are that set on Foles as their starter, I wonder if they’d deal Minshew for the lesser 2nd rounder. Maybe use the other 2nd on an offensive tackle.
As a Bears fan, I’d gladly take Minshew from them if they’re set on Foles as their starter. Not sure what it would take to get him though.
Worst thing for Minshew would be to have one of those ‘in the toilet’ rookie games and have to be saved by Foles.
