The Raiders’ Thursday defensive back tryout will lead to a roster move. Former Jets cornerback Juston Burris will sign with the Raiders, Scott Bair of NBC Sports Bay Area tweets.
Burris will take Johnathan Abram‘s roster spot. The Raiders are placing the third of their three 2019 first-round picks on IR. Abram suffered a shoulder injury Monday night that is expected to end his season. Abram could come back after eight weeks on IR, but based on the current information, that seems unlikely.
A fourth-round Jets pick in 2016, Burris played in 34 Jets games from 2016-18. He spent time with the Browns last season. Burris may profile as Gareon Conley insurance, but the Raiders expect him to play Sunday despite the scary neck injury he suffered against the Broncos. Conley took part in limited practices Wednesday and Thursday.
Abram’s absence may bring the Raiders to move free agent addition Lamarcus Joyner back to safety. Joyner has spent his initial Raider months as their slot corner but worked as a safety with the Rams over the past two seasons.
This dude was annoying on Hard Knocks
Is it salmon or sammon. I find it hard to believe he truly didn’t know. How much of that stuff is scripted and how much is real?
First time ever watching Hard Knocks and probably the last. I watched to see the circus that is the Oakland Raiders and the clown show which is of course AB. Add in Chuckie and Chuckles it should have been better.
When the Seahawks were in the AFCW I hated but respected the Raiders. Al Davis was a good owner that had a plan and kept to it. Get speed on O and dirty on D. He went senile and ran them into the ground. Now his son is following the senile part and continuing to run them into the ground.
I understand he had little money outside the team like his dad. That is why he couldn’t pay to build a stadium and Oakland wasn’t going bankrupt to build one for him. Just like his dad his commitment is to make money so they abandon the crazy fan base they have. I know the feeling many of therm have. We got screwed over by a sleazy person who colluded with a sleazy commissioner.
I hope the Las Vegas thing is a total flop and they return to Oakland. With the flop Chuckles has to sell his remaining percent of the team. I am not an Oakland fan proud charter member of the Raider Hater club. The fans don’t deserve this though. Greedy owners getting rich off the working Joe and Jane’s. Seattle had and has a great owner after all these years of commitment Oakland deserves one too.
Salmon
Knock on wood if your with me.
