I’m wondering if the NFLPA will want a max available cap space in their next contract. Lot of unspent money right there. Almost 500mil not being spent.
I think they could do a rolling average if they don’t already.
The average amount of cap reserve is $14,179,920 with the average payroll at $159.3M. That works out to less than a 10% reserve on average, which doesn’t seem that excessive.
($ values from Spotrac).
The money might be “unspent” today, but the well run franchises will use it up as the season goes on and contracts get re-worked.
You have to spend 89% or more over a 4 year period, and the extra rolls over to the next year.
@giants lol
At least the Giants are stacked with Superstars for years to come. Oh wait. You said the New York Giants? Nevermind.
Probably didn’t mean SF Giants either.
Makes you wonder!
Yes, what giants do you speak of?
The Little Giants with Icebox
The Yomiuri Giants of Japan.
Did Luck’s retirement cause the Colts cap room to increase? If not, it raises other questions about their spending habits.
It does, that’s one reason why people were pissed because they could have used that money elsewhere earlier in the offseason
Raiders cap space might really increase in a few days. I imagine Chuckie and Mayock are in a heated fight right now about what to do with him. Chuckie is giving him that mean stare will be interesting to see who wins. While Davis said I have to get a haircut see you in two days.
Giants have limited talent but have almost no cap space!? Something doesn’t add up.
Same goes for the Buccaneers
