In addition to those cuts, the Niners also have a few extra spots on their initial 53-man roster thanks to suspensions for wide receiver Victor Bolden and linebacker Reuben Foster. They’ll also be without defensive lineman Kentavius Street as he sits on the NFI list.
Surprised by a few of these.
You aren’t kidding…Cooper, Attaochu, Hikatini, and Burbridge to a lesser extent, but he was still an excellent ST player…
Their pass rush from the LB position is definitely going to be a major concern this year, and it certainly won’t help their young secondary..
Their only saving grace is that their D-Line is able to get a solid bit of push up front, but they still need an edge rusher or two to round out their defense…
Their WR’s, although most of them are built from the same cloth, have looked sharp, but I can’t really say the 49ers counting on Morris and Breida as their main and only RB’s is also quite a concern…
Hopefully they can make some quality pickups after teams male their cuts…
