The Rams are set to meet with Ndamukong Suh, according to Jordan Schultz of Yahoo Sports (on Twitter). Suh recently visited with the Titans and Saints, but has not signed with either club.
The Rams defense already looks terrifying with a projected starting lineup featuring the likes of defensive linemen Aaron Donald and Michael Brockers, cornerbacks Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib (not to mention Kayvon Webster and Nickell Robey-Coleman), free safety LaMarcus Joyner, strong safety John Johnson, and linebacker Mark Barron. The addition of Suh could push Ethan Westbrooks out of the picture, but that likely wouldn’t deter L.A. from signing him.
Last year, Suh graded out as Pro Football Focus’ No. 4 interior defensive lineman in the NFL in 2017, and he finished the season with 48 tackles and 4.5 sacks. He recently turned 31, but he remains one of the league’s most fearsome defensive linemen.
In other Rams news, L.A. is working to re-sign former first round defensive lineman Dominique Easley.
Oh hell no him and Donald together is not fair lol
Holy Crap!
Donald and Suh. Plus Peters and Talib. Oh man good luck scoring
That would be a nasty D but I don’t see it happening
There D was nasty last year but some teams still put up points, like the Eagles and Cowboys both dropped 43 N 30 on them.
Our secondary was not nearly as good. Plus we had so many guys who didn’t fit the 3-4 system which is why we gave up points. Now we are getting guys who fit.
I don’t know if I see Suh coming to LA unless it’s on a more team friendly deal. Gonna have to lock up Goff, Gurley, Peters, Donald, Joyner all within two years. Not to mention Kupp and Woods and John Johnson to follow.
Yea it would have to be a 1 year union for it to work, I can’t see it being a long-term deal b/c of what you mentioned. He is 31 too.
McCase, Why don’t you see it happening? He is going there to talk contract.
That’s going to be the best Def in the NFL!
He wants to win like everyone else.
