One of college football’s best quarterbacks will be heading to the NFL next season. UCLA’s Josh Rosen has just announced his intention to enter the 2018 NFL Draft in a letter on posted on his Twitter page.
“I especially want to thank my teammates. I wish we had won more games, but friendships were forged and memories were made that will last a lifetime. They are my best friends- I love them and wouldn’t have chosen any others to go into battle with each and every week. It pains me to leave these guys, but I know they wouldn’t let me come back and pass up this opportunity to chase my dream.”
“Thank you most of all to my family for supporting me. I love you all and don’t know what I would do without you guys. And now as a proud UCLA Bruin, I am officially declaring for the 2018 NFL Draft.”
Rosen was always expected to go pro after this college football season, but now that it’s official we can start speculating on where the talented signal caller will end up. Rosen has often been linked with fellow QB Sam Darnold as being one of the top two picks in this upcoming draft. However, Rosen has previously stated that he may not want to go to the Browns, who hold the first and fourth overall picks in April. The Giants are set to pick second and there’s already been widespread speculation that organization could be looking for the apparent to Eli Manning this offseason.
Nevertheless, Rosen is not only rated as one of the best quarterbacks, but one of the best overall prospects available in this draft class, according to multiple draft experts across the football media world. Rosen has a great chance of being selected in the top three picks given that there are so many quarterback needy teams across the league entering the offseason.
have fun in cleveland, buddy
Hopefully Cleveland using that cap space and their draft picks to surround this guy with more talent. I think their new GM will do a good job getting him some help. Actually excited to see what they do with all that money and draft picks especially if they select him number one I’m curious to see if they draft running back number two and take Barkley.
Cleveland needs a qb. But Barkley at 4 would be a stretch. They need more o line and d line type guys. Not a high salary early pick running back. If crowell will resign hes the perfect type beater back to pair with a rookie qb. If anything trade the #4 pick and keep acquiring assets. A lot of teams want a qb this year.
Fearless Prediction : Jets land Rosen.
NYJ trade #6, #58, 1st rd Pick in 2019
and Muhammad Wilkerson to CLE
for
#1 and Conditional Pick 5th/6th rd 2019
Browns take QB Josh Allen at #4
That’s a pretty out there prediction but I guess I can see it happening. I see the Browns getting their guy at number one and taking Barkley at RB with number 4 or that Fighting Irish O Lineman at 4. Guess we wait and see but wouldn’t be surprised if the Browns do trade one of those picks I guess. Just think they need more help than anyone else so they might keep them.
They wouldn’t take Nelson at 4…guard is actually one of the few strengths they have with Bitonio and Zeitler
Correction : #38 pick.
I see the Browns taking Fitzpatrick with the #6 pick, they need help in that secondary . Giving them a leader on each side of the ball.
That would leave them with picks
#33, #36, And #38 at the top of Rd 2
(Prob RB, WR, OT)
and the rest of the draft to address
other needs .
Welcome to Arizona ………I hope
Giants offer No. 2 pick to Cleveland to get Rosen. Allows Browns to pick Darnold and whoever they target at No. 4.
I don’t follow…why would the Browns trade down a spot without getting anything else? And how would doing that be any different than actually just taking who they want at 1 and 4. I might have just misunderstood what you said, but if not then that makes no sense.
I think he means the Browns would get something else, but just didn’t mention it. I’m not sure what else the Giants would offer. Unless they really wanted a certain QB or other player the Browns might take a 1 I think they should just stay put. I could see them taking Barkley at 2.
If I’m Cleveland I would trade from 4 to 2 with New York. Take Rosen or Darnold at 1 and Barkley at 2. Then the G-Men land a QB at 4, because more than likely Indy won’t take one.
