The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals has yet to rule on the Ezekiel Elliott case, and that could be good news for the running back. The league has petitioned the court with urgent language to quickly deliver a ruling, but the judge is clearly not taking those directives to heart. That doesn’t mean that things will go Elliott’s way, per se, but it could be a prelude to an Elliott victory.
Here’s the latest on Elliott and his legal battle with the NFL:
- The league still won’t rule out suspending Elliott before Monday night’s game against the Cardinals if they win in court, a league spokesman tells PFT’s Michael David Smith. Today marks the last business day of the week, but if the ruling comes down before the lights shut off, commissioner Roger Goodell may put Elliott’s six-game suspension into effect immediately. In theory, if a ruling comes down on Monday, the league could enact the suspension before kickoff. If that’s the case, Elliott will be sidelined for games against the Cardinals, Rams, Packers, 49ers, Redskins, and Chiefs. He would not be eligible to return until Nov. 12 against the Falcons.
Part of me is wondering if Elliott isn’t caught in the middle of a feud between Jones and Goodell.
More like caught in the middle of bein spoiled overrated, incredibly benefiting from talented O-line, player who really doesn’t care bout or have a real passion for playing football at the highest level or just bein a complete Ahole….? Tom Brady has performed at a HOF level bein caught in the middle of owner, commish feud…..plus the whole not bein a woman beaten POS turd…..
Here we go…^
I’m a pat fan and Brady fan but you sound stupid in less you know the player personally then don’t say stuff like that I agree he’s overrated but that other stuff sounds petty he should be suspended for putting his hands on a woman but not 6 games 4 max for 1stX but that’s my opinion
You didn’t know having one poor game out of a total 17 career games makes you overrated?
He plays with one if not they best O-line so that has to do with a lot of his success but again that is MY OPINION
Evidence that he abused her?
I’m going of everything I’ve read or seen on here but let’s be real he probably did it or something like it but if by chance he didn’t the good for him but you don’t know for sure either way so don’t act like you do k
Law enforcement didn’t think there was enough evidence to make a case. That’s all I know.
Plus all of her credibility issues
You’re ignorant
Wow you have some amazing insights into Elliott, were you the top bunk or bottom?
Fact is that as far as the evidence released it’s not looking to great for the NFL and the courts cavalier attitude also makes me wonder about the evidence we don’t know about. I do however agree that we’re theirs smoke theirs usually fire, as far as I can tell he is a bit of a prima-donna and he defiantly needs a shadow el la Bryant.
This guy has made mistakes but as far as I can tell 90% of it is outside of the leagues purview since he was at Ohio state.
Btw why call him over rated? He was a star in college and he’s continued that in the NFL, try being pragmatic and perhaps removing yourself from your dislike for Elliott and educate yourself.
Btw if anyone is overrated it’s Prescott, or overhyped, because of Elliott getting all this press for his off field stupidity he seems overrated because we are over saturated with news about him.
