The Seahawks won’t be signing Colin Kaepernick. At least, not right now. Today, coach Pete Carroll told reporters that while the door remains “open” to a union with Kaepernick, there is nothing imminent on that front.

This jibes with a report from earlier this week which indicated that no deal would be coming together at this time. Still, all signs indicate that the Seahawks’ meeting with Kaepernick was not just done as a courtesy. The team had real interest in him, reports say, and Carroll insists that there is some degree of interest in the former 49ers signal caller. Carroll said that Kaepernick demonstrated that he is still a starting-caliber quarterback and he can’t imagine that he won’t get an opportunity to play somewhere in the NFL this year.
Austin Davis worked out for the Seahawks on the same day as Kaepernick, but he also remains unsigned. If the Seahawks want to continue looking at outside backup QB options for starter Russell Wilson, they could explore vets such as Robert Griffin III, Shaun Hill, and Christian Ponder.
Good
Hoping his days in the NFL are over. Let’s see if he can make a real living with that “brilliant” mind and loud mouth of his. What a tool.
He’s already made more money than you’ll ever see in your entire life. He doesn’t have to do anything if he doesn’t want to
He’ll be fine. He’ll create a nonprofit, make a great salary and not pay taxes
That’s not how non-profits work. He can be paid a salary but will still have to pay income tax on that.
Hahahaha! That’s after workin out for Hawks too. That’s along fall. I bet if young Kap there had a wayback machine….he’d be 1st player standing, hand across chest, tears streaming, singing the American National Anthem…
Agreed. He did this to himself.
It’s not even him having opinions, it’s that he suddenly turned into a social justice warrior at the exact moment that his career was in a free fall and his team became a miserable failure. Regardless of the actual content of his opinions, it just makes him look like he’s more interested in being the center of attention than he is in doing what he’s being paid a huge amount of money to do. The only thing that made anyone know his name in the first place was football.
Not his fault there’s so many morons in the US
