For those of you dreaming of Richard Sherman in red, white, and blue, we have some bad news. The Patriots are not interested in trading for him, according to a source who spoke with Tom E. Curran of CSNNE.com. 
Seahawks GM John Schneider admits that Sherman trade talks is “real” and we know that the Patriots, at one point, called Seattle about a potential deal. Yesterday, was said that the Patriots would only engage in a full-on pursuit if they wound up losing star cornerback Malcolm Butler this offseason. As it stands, however, it sounds like the Patriots have cooled on Sherman overall. That could be an indication that Butler will not be heading to the Saints, but that’s just my own speculation.
Interestingly, as Sherman finds himself in an awkward situation with the Seahawks, he is acting as his own agent. Sherman was a client of agent Ben Dogra when he signed his lucrative extension with Seattle, but he did not bother to hire a new rep after Dogra was hit with NFLPA sanctions.
If Butler left the Pats get a first and idk what else Belichick would offer for Sherman besides the pick
I doubt Butler comes to the Saints unless the Pats want the 32nd pick back…the 42nd pick is more likely to be offered I’m

Just sign Revis and put McCourty over the top to help him. Trade Butler for the best deal you can get. Draft Adoree Jackson for nickel.
Patriots receive: Richard Sherman
Seattle Seahawks receive: Malcolm Butler and Jimmy Garoppolo
Browns receive: Jimmy Garoppolo
Seahawks receive: 1st Round #12 overall
Patriots bookend Sherman with Gilmore.
Seahawks receive solid corner, provides salary cap relief, and a solid first round pick to draft best offensive tackle or a solid corner.
Browns can still draft Myles Garrett and get a solid quarterback. Personally, I would risk trading the #12 overall pick for Garopollo over any of the other possible 2016 draft eligible quarterbacks.
Yeah that’s my thing with people who say Garoppolo isn’t worth 12. I’d rather have him than Trubisky or Watson.
B/c you have to pay Garoppolo next season, the rookies are locked in at much low rates for 4 years. His value is much lower. Same reason for Butler not being worth a 1st – he’s going to have to get paid.
Patriots would never do that. Garoppolo AND Butler and all they get back is Sherman… no chance.
