Teams are already interested in the Packers’ No. 33 overall pick, the first selection of the second round, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com tweets. Those clubs include the Chargers (No. 38), Jets (No. 39) and Buccaneers (No. 50), reports Adam Schefter of ESPN (Twitter link). Both the Chargers and Jets are attempting to move up for Cal quarterback Davis Webb, according to Tony Pauline of DraftAnalyst.com. Meanwhile, if the Packers keep the pick, they’ll select either Florida State running back Dalvin Cook or Washington cornerback Kevin King, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com.
Here’s a look at some of the other notable names that remain on the board as we head into Day 2:
- Forrest Lamp, G (Western Kentucky)
- DeShone Kizer, QB (Notre Dame)
- Zach Cunningham, LB (Vanderbilt)
- Sidney Jones, CB, (Washington)
- Joe Mixon, RB, (Oklahoma)
- JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR (USC)
- Teez Tabor, CB (Florida)
- Malik McDowell, DL (Michigan State)
- Tim Williams, OLB (Alabama)
- Alvin Kamara, RB (Tennessee)
- Zay Jones, WR (East Carolina)
The Browns don’t have the 32nd pick
The Packers have the first pick in the 2nd round at 33. The 32nd pick was the last pick in the first round.
Come on! This is supposed to be a Pro Football site, and you don’t even know there are 32 teams in the league? #33 is the first pick of the 2nd round.
There are 32 teams so the next pick is #33 which is the Packers pick, the Browns had the 33rd pick but traded it.
Uh, correct me if im wrong, but i believe the 32nd pick belonged to the saints, and the packers have the 1st pick of the second round
The Packers can probably afford to move back a few places here and still get a good quality talent. Cook, Cunningham, Lamp and Jones all fit their needs in theory
they signed Jahri Evans to replace TJ Lang, so Lamp doesn’t fit their needs
Kevin King??
As long as they don’t drop back behind Bears, last thing I want is to see King or Cook playing against us next 8-10 years.
bears will trade all their remaining picks to swap places with the seahawks
I am really starting to think that the Cowboys are going to trade into the top 15 of the second round to grab a corner. Once they start to see the CB’s making a run off the boards, they’ll move up.
There’s a bunch left though that are all very similarly ranked and they may go Safety. No need to trade up.
Tankersley, Awuzie, Tabor, King, Wilson, Moreau, Witherspoon, Douglas, and Jones all will go rounds 2-3 though. Desmond King is also a CB/FS combo guy
I think there is really only 2 guys people are looking at. Kizer and Cook would be the 2 guys I think teams really value at 33. The way this draft has gone though, who knows what everyone is thinking.
I pray as a Vikings fan that they don’t draft Dalvin Cook but idk how they pass him up.
because Ted Thompson is making the pick..breath easy Vikings fan, he won’t take him…it makes too much sense, Ted only makes moves that have the potential to make him look smarter than everyone else…but in recent years almost always make him look the opposite. If Aaron Rodgers and the Packers had your GM they’d be the Patriots of the NFC.
but they are….. look up their playoff and championship game appearances and you will see the facts. winning the Superbowl every year is impossible and only 2 teams have more than GB since Thompson took over.
Ha, writer edited the post without acknowledgement that he has no idea what he’s talking about, and probably shouldn’t be writing for a pro football blog. Original post had the Browns picking at #32 tonight. Where that idea came from … no idea?
Just give it a rest. The purpose of these posts are to share the news quickly. When you do anything quickly you might slip up. It was negligible. It was fixed. Move on.
Maybe. MLB trade rumors is run a million times better than the NFL version though.
So he made a typo jerkoff. So what? He is supposed to post an acknowledgement that he does not know what he is talking about for that? Give me a break loser.
