Reuben Foster failed a drug test during the scouting combine, the Alabama linebacker tells Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. This is not a good development for the youngster given his other red flags. 
During the combine, Foster got into a dust-up with a hospital worker, though his camp has brushed it off as little more than a miscommunication. There’s also question marks about his surgically-repaired shoulder and his upbringing. The failed drug test was apparently due to a diluted sample, which Foster says is the result of aggressively hydrating after coming down with a stomach bug. Foster knows that he’ll be put into the league’s drug program upon being drafted, but he is not afraid of the extra monitoring.
“Put me in the program,” he said. “Test me.”
Foster will face a whole new round of questions about this latest incident and he knows that teams may not accept his excuse for the suspicious sample.
“If it’s first round, second round, whoever takes me will get a good football player and an All-Pro,” Foster said. “I hope I go on Thursday, but I can’t control that.”
Dallas Robinson’s Mock Draft 1.0 has Foster pegged to go No. 8 overall, but not to the Panthers. Depending on the buzz we here in the coming days, he could slide down the board.

I said it when he caused a scene at the original combine testing. He didn’t want to wait his turn n line because the Cleansing agent he took wasn’t going to last much longer and he knew test would come back positive by standing in line much longer.
Glad “truth” came out but he’s continually making excuses so it seems it wasn’t his fault.

Sorry, your conspiracy doesn’t work. Why would he get sent home AFTER already taking the drug test, instead of Before??
If he fell to the 2nd round I would love for the Bears to take draft him and it would be the steal of the draft. Bears would have a potential addition to the legacy of linebackers. D. Trevathan wouldn’t need to be rush back from a significant injury. Foster could learn inside from a consiment pro in Jerrell Freeman while Pernell McPhee helps him channel his hitman mentality and applying it properly in the NFL. I know it is likely a pipe dream but if you pair Foster with one of the top defenders in the draft that the Bears have been considering with the 3rd pick like Adams, Thomas, Hooker, Lattimore, or Allen and DA BEARS might start looking a whole lot more like the Monsters of the Midway again!

This is insane…he didn’t fail a drug test, the urine sample came back as diluted…the NFL treats this as a positive test but it’s not officially positive…I can speak on this issue first hand because I got a job a few months ago with a very large company that conducted a background check along with a pre-employment drug screening…I drink a lot of water and tea and my first test came back being diluted…I went back two days later to take it again and made sure I drank some soda beforehand and I passed…my goodness people, put your stones down lol
Tests don’t usually get diluted from just drinking “some” water..he knew what he was doing, which was trying to scam the test.. no one else had a problem with diluted samples and I’m sure all of those world class athletes drink plenty of water too
I mean yeah, any test that comes back with a diluted sample is suspect because even I know several people who drink tons of water beforehand to pass drug tests that aren’t even for major athletics. But also they’re athletes who drink tons of water during a typical day of working out so it could be a fluke. Give it time y’all, don’t rush to judgments
How far will he really fall though? 10 to 20s? Certainly not out of the 1st.
