The Steelers released a statement moments ago confirming that Ben Roethlisberger underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. The team does not yet have a timetable for his return, but they are “confident this injury is not long-term.”
Big Ben gave fans a big scare on Sunday when he went down with a knee injury early on against the Dolphins. Even though he returned to action in that game, he’ll need some time to recover before he can play again. While Roethlisberger is out, the Steelers will turn to Landry Jones as their starter. The Steelers went 1-1 in Jones’ two starts last season and they’re hoping that they’ll be able to get by for however long No. 7 is out.
Roethlisberger has thrown for 1,685 yards and a league-leading 16 touchdowns this season.
That should keep him out of bathrooms for awhile…
Guess you will need to find a new friend to play with
Bush great point you made with your dumb comment!
Less competition for you in the bathroom, huh?
Ben is probably a huge jerk. Most superstars are. But he was an ACCUSED rapist. Nothing was proven. No arrests were made. Did he do something? Possibly. Only he and the women will know the truth.
Other athletes are accused all of the time. Sometimes there is truth to it, sometimes not. But since Ben was never convicted or proven to be a rapist, the constant “Ben is a rapist” jokes are just stupid.
If you want to make fun of something about Ben, make fun of his smart decisions…motorcycles, haircuts, etc. Or his decision to publicly want Bruce Arians as his OC to only become better than ever under Todd Haley lol.
Glad to hear at least it isn’t a career or season ending injury. I will be hoping Ben will be back in a few weeks. Time to draft a real future replacement for Ben next year.
Do they trade for a mediocre QB or roll with Landry? They should use a late rounder (6 or 7) on some one with some promise. When Ben is back, dump Landry and roll with Ben, the new guy, and Mettenberger.
Landry Jokes. Just made that up. That guy is so bad.
