We’ll keep track of today’s minor moves here:
- The Dolphins have placed defensive tackle Anthony Johnson on injured reserve, according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun (Twitter link). Johnson, an undrafted rookie out of LSU, has seen just 84 snaps this season.
- In advance of Sunday’s game against the Colts, the Texans have placed defensive end Tim Jamison, who’s been dealing with a knee injury, on injured reserve, tweets Mark Berman of Fox 26 in Houston. To fill its 53-man roster, Houston promoted fellow DE Keith Browner from its practice squad.
For a long time Dolphins fan I am very disappointed in this season. This team should be 9 – 4 if not 10-3 at this time of the year. I haven’t seen so many darn injuries to this team in the years I have been a fan and that is a long time. Since 1978. I think loosing their head athletic trainer this season to that stupid scandal hurt this team that no one wants to mention. The defense looks gassed at the end of the game like they have been on the field for six quarters. I think that is a problem with the offense too. They are getting tired quickly.
Last week they blew off the ball in the first quarter and most of the second. Till the last drive of the second quarter. I don’t know what is happening but it just doesn’t look like they have the Stamina and mind set to plan a 4 quarter football game. Something is seriously lacking. I like Coach Philbin as a person and human being I think he is a hell of an OC but as a head coach it’s just not there for him. He’s way to passive and sometimes it take a person to just grab someone by the collar and say look get your head out of your rear end and play some football. I haven’t seen it you don’t have to use profanity and get all irate but you have to show some passion and some fire…It’s just not there. It’s been this way for the three years he’s been coach.
DC Kevin Coyle don’t know here I don’t know if he has the game plan and the players are just not executing it because they are wore out or he is being out coached from the other side line and not making the right calls. I know we need to give Jordan Tripp a shot in the middle and keep rotation with Trusnick because we don’t need him hurt too. I think our GM is going to make some major moves if our owner lets him do it. Mr. Ross please let our GM handle the situation and also give Mr. Dan Marino some more power with the players especially our offensive players. He knows what he is doing especially when it comes to QB’s. Let’s go beat the Pat’s on their own home field tomorrow. Go Phins…..
Nicely put. Your post makes me feel like a real jerk because I can be so harsh. I think a team takes on the mind-set and personality of its head coach. The Raven’s game last week directly mirrored the two loses at the end of the season last year, when they controlled their own fate and completely collapsed. It is a problem that is a direct reflection of Philbin, and will likely resurface as long as he is the HC. Philbins game day coaching is also subpar, to say the least. As far as Coyle is concerned, all you have to do is look at his D in the Green Bay game where he hsd Wheeler in man coverage on the last play…brilliant! Wheeler shouldn’t have even been on the field.
One other observation, this entire staff needs to lobby eachother to get the younger guys on the field. I think they are overly committed to veteran players, which stunts the development of the young guys. Do the Dolphins have one coach that advocates for getting younger players more snaps! Though to watch this team struggle for 9 wins again thia seadon after last season’s debackle.
