Let’s check out some assorted NFL notes to wrap up this Friday evening…
- The Jets could easily accommodate the contract of Texans wideout Andre Johnson, however Paul Schwartz of the New York Post doesn’t think the team will have any interest in the veteran. The team added Eric Decker and Jacoby Ford this offseason while also drafting Shaq Evans.
- Sports Illustated’s Doug Farrar gives the Seahawks a B- for their offseason moves, stating that the team’s best move was adding rookie wide receiver Paul Richardson. Reversely, Farrar said the team’s biggest loss is wideout Golden Tate.
- Former NFL star (and current member of the Montreal Alouettes) Chad Johnson celebrated his first CFL touchdown this evening by hugging an official. According to ProFootballTalk.com’s Mike Willkening, the touchdown came on a 46-yard pass from former NFL quarterback Troy Smith. Those hoping to see the catch can check it out on TSN’s website.
