Eluemunor was a fifth-round pick of the Ravens back in 2017, so the Patriots would get a fifth-round pick in return should any team poach him away with an offer sheet in free agency. The original round tender projects to clock in at a little over $2.1MM for 2020.
The Broncos aren’t willing to pay that much for Jones, but Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic reports that Denver might still bring him back at a lower price (Twitter link). Jones, a 2017 UDFA from Northwestern, played only six defensive snaps last year but played 64 percent of the snaps on special teams. Eluemunor was a reserve interior lineman for New England last year.
The Patriots aren’t done trading for offensive linemen. About an hour after acquiring Korey Cunningham from the Cardinals, the Pats went out and got another body up front.
New England has reached a deal with Baltimore to trade for guard Jermaine Eluemunor, per Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com (Twitter link). In the deal, the Ravens will send Eluemunor and a sixth-round pick to the Pats a fourth-round pick, ESPN.com’s Adam Schefter hears.
Hensley writes that Eluemunor was originally the favorite to start at left guard for the Ravens, but he “fell out of favor” after failing a conditioning test earlier this offseason. He also had several nagging injuries that kept him off the practice field.
Terms of the deal weren’t immediately disclosed, and the Ravens later tweeted out they were receiving an “undisclosed draft pick.” The Patriots needed some offensive line depth, so these moves make some sense. After it was revealed that David Andrews might miss the entire season with a blood clot, Ted Karras became the starting center. Karras was also a reserve guard, and the Pats’ interior line became pretty thin with him getting bumped up to a starting role.
Eluemunor was drafted by the Ravens in the fifth-round back in 2017. He started two games as a rookie and one last year. The Texas A&M product isn’t a lock to make New England’s roster, especially if the pick they gave up for him turns out to be conditional.
Ravens linebacker Patrick Onwuasor has signed his second-round restricted free agent tender, the club announced today. Running backs Gus Edwards and De’Lance Turner, center Matt Skura, and offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor all signed their exclusive rights free agent tenders, per Baltimore.
Onwuasor, 26, has started 25 games for the Ravens over the past two seasons, but didn’t top 60% playing time in either of those campaigns. That’s likely to change in 2019, as Onwuasor is expected to become Baltimore’s top linebacker following the departure of free agent C.J. Mosley. Last year, Onwuasor posted 59 total tackles, 5.5 sacks, and one interception while grading as the NFL’s No. 40 linebacker among 92 qualifiers, per Pro Football Focus, which assigned Onwuasor a top-15 coverage grade among LBs.
Following a solid 2018 season, a rival team could have theoretically expressed interest in signing Onwuasor to an offer sheet. However, that would have forced said club to sacrifice a second-round pick and give Onwuasor a large enough contract to dissuade the Ravens from matching. Instead, the former undrafted free agent is now scheduled to earn $3.095MM for the upcoming campaign.

The Ravens have swapped return men. ESPN’s Jamison Hensley reports (via Twitter) that the team has promoted returner/wideout Tim White from the practice squad and waived returner/wideout Janarion Grant. The team has also waived offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor and promoted defensive back Robertson Daniel.
Grant, an undrafted rookie out of Rutgers, made the Ravens’ initial roster as their primary kick and punt returner. However, the 24-year-old has struggled through his first two regular season games, losing a pair of fumbles. There should be some room for optimism, as his kick return average (28 yards) and punt return average (7.4 yards) are plenty impressive.
Now, White will have his chance at being the team’s primary return man. The 24-year-old joined the organization last year as an undrafted free agent out of Arizona State, and he spent the majority of his rookie season on the injured reserve. He was cut by the Ravens at the end of this year’s training camp, but he quickly caught on with the team’s practice squad.
With Anthony Averett struggling through a hamstring injury, Daniel should provide the team with some additional depth. The former undrafted free agent out of Bringham Young has bounced around the NFL, but he’s spent the past two-plus seasons with the Ravens. The 26-year-old only has a single career game under his belt, and he’ll likely slide in to the bottom of the team’s cornerback depth chart.
Eluemunor was a fifth-round pick by the Ravens in 2017, and he appeared in eight games (two starts) as a rookie, earning him an All-Rookie nod. However, the 23-year-old was buried on the depth chart heading into the 2018 campaign, and he didn’t see the field during Baltimore’s first two regular season contests. With the move, the Ravens are now only rostering seven offensive lineman: Ronnie Stanley, Alex Lewis, Matt Skura, Marshal Yanda, James Hurst, Orlando Brown, and Bradley Bozeman.

The Ravens announced that they have signed first-round cornerback Marlon Humphrey. In addition to the Alabama product, linebacker Tyus Bowser (second round), guard Nico Siragusa (fourth round), offensive tackle Jermaine Eluemunor (fifth round), and safety Chuck Carr (sixth round) have also inked their deals. 
Humphrey was widely ranked as one of the top three cornerbacks available in what was a very deep class for the position. Depending on who you asked, some talent evaluators had him as the second-best corner on the board, behind Marshon Lattimore but ahead of Gareon Conley and Adoree’ Jackson. Humphrey wound up becoming the second cornerback drafted when the Ravens selected him at No. 16, though Conley’s draft week incident might have had something to do with that.
Humphrey, a 6’1″, 196-pound athlete, had 36 total tackles, two interceptions, and five passes defensed in his final year at Alabama. One of those interceptions was a pick six in the season opener against USC.
With those five under contract, only two Ravens draft picks remain unsigned. Baltimore will look to finalize things with third-round defensive end Chris Wormley and third-round linebacker Tim Williams in the coming days.
