Connected to several head-coaching vacancies, Mike Smith can now add the Giants to the list of teams pursuing him.
The Giants are planning to interview the former Falcons coach, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com (on Twitter).
The Falcons’ coach from 2008-14, Smith has also been connected to the Titans and Buccaneers, and previously interviewed with the Dolphins
before they decided on Adam Gase today.
Smith, 56, went 66-46 in his seven seasons in Atlanta and steered the Falcons to four playoff berths. We heard Friday that Smith is expected to receive serious consideration for the Bucs’ job as well.
Visiting with a balanced set of instructors, the Giants have previously interviewed Gase, Teryl Austin, Doug Marrone, and internal candidates Ben McAdoo and Steve Spagnuolo.
Ben McAdoo is the one to go with if you want Eli Manning to be comfortable in with the offensive set up. If you go with a new head coach it’s going to mess up the chemistry that Eli has been used to for the last 3 years. That’s just opinion on the subject.
Alright Giants enough of this crap. Just name McAdoo the head coach. Smith? Marrone? Maybe Kotite or Joe Bugel is available. Eli wants McAdoo. Hey Mara this is the New York freakin Giants were not talking about the Jaguars. Get this thing done. Pronto!!
