Ole Miss OL Greg Little Declares For Draft

One of a few Ole Miss products who may well end up as first-round picks, offensive lineman Greg Little announced (on Twitter) he will forgo his senior season and declare for the 2019 draft.

Little is expected to go high in next year’s draft. He has started every game since the start of last season and has appeared in every Ole Miss contest since debuting for the Rebels in 2016.

The 6-foot-6, 325-pound tackle joins wide receivers A.J. Brown and D.K. Metcalf in declaring for the ’19 draft. Grading as the best offensive line prospect exiting his junior season and No. 8 overall 2019 prospect, per ESPN.com’s Todd McShay (ESPN+ link), Little is making an understandable decision to leave school early. ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. called Little the best true tackle in this year’s class, noting Alabama’s Jonah Williams may well slide to guard.

Little was a five-star recruit who became a first-team All-SEC player and an All-American. With tackles increasingly difficult to develop, he will be a coveted commodity in April. Little would be the second top-15 Ole Miss-produced tackle in four years, with Laremy Tunsil going to the Dolphins at No. 13 in 2016.

NC State WR Kelvin Harmon To Enter 2019 Draft

North Carolina State wide receiver Kelvin Harmon announced on Twitter that he’ll forgo his final season of collegiate eligibility in order to enter the 2019 NFL draft.

“I have prayed and discussed the path forward with my family and we have decided that it is time for me to proceed to the next chapter in my football life,” writes Harmon. “That chapter will be playing professional football in the National Football League. To this end, I am relinquishing my college eligibility, effective immediately, and declaring myself a professional. I am applying for entry into the 2019 NFL draft. I will not be playing in the upcoming Gator Bowl but my support for my teammates will go unchanged.”

Harmon’s role in the Wolfpack offense steadily grew over the past three seasons. After managing only 27 receptions during his freshman year, Harmon totaled 69 catches for 1,017 yards and four touchdowns, earning second-team All-ACC honors along the way. This season, Harmon posted his best results yet (81/1,186/7) and was named first-team All-ACC.

Harmon certainly has the size of a No. 1 wideout, as he stands 6’3″, 214 pounds. In his most recent 2019 big board, Chris Trapasso of CBSSports.com ranked Harmon as the 11th-best prospect in the draft, so the NC State product should stand a good chance of being a first-round selection. In a scouting report of Harmon, Trapasso noted the Liberia native’s ability to win contested catches and his “impressive speed and wiggle” after the catch.

Auburn QB Jarrett Stidham Enters NFL Draft

Auburn quarterback Jarrett Stidham is going pro. This week, the QB took to Twitter to announce that he’ll forgo his final season of eligibility in order to enter the 2019 NFL Draft.

“Jarrett has been a terrific player for us the last two years, leading us to an SEC West title and becoming one of the most prolific passers in Auburn history,” Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said. “He has tremendous ability and a bright future ahead of him. I look forward to seeing Jarrett perform one more time in an Auburn uniform and can’t wait to see him playing in the NFL next year and for years to come.”

Stidham first made a name for himself at Baylor, where he threw for 12 touchdowns against just two interceptions as a true freshman in 2015. After head coach Art Briles was let go, he transferred to Auburn, where he had an up-and-down tenure. Last year, he led Auburn to an SEC championship game appearance, but he failed to build off of that momentum in 2018.

Heading into the year, Stidham looked the part of a second-round pick with the potential to work his way into the backend of the first-round. Today, he ranks just tenth among QBs, according to Mel Kiper Jr. of ESPN.com. However, it’s possible that Stidham could boost his stock with strong workouts and interviews in the buildup to the draft.

Ole Miss WR A.J. Brown To Enter NFL Draft

A.J. Brown is going pro. On Tuesday, the Ole Miss wide receiver announced that he will forgo his senior season and enter the 2019 NFL Draft.

Brown, a 6’1″, 225-pound athlete, profiles as the top wide receiver in this year’s class. He’ll leave school on a high note after notching 85 catches for 1,320 yards and six touchdowns this season. It was a challenging season for Ole Miss on the whole, but Brown was nothing short of stellar on an individual level. He had 212 yards receiving against Vanderbilt just a few weeks ago and topped 100 yards receiving in six different games this year.

“I just want to start off by saying thank you to the Ole Miss family,” Brown wrote in a tweet. “You have welcomed me with open arms. Ole Miss is a special place and has been since I took my first official visit. During my official visit, I knew that this was the place for me. The past three years I have created memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.”

In just three seasons at Ole Miss, Brown set new watermarks for the program in career receiving yards, most receiving yards in a single season, and several other categories.

NFL teams are salivating over Brown’s unique skillset. He’s not the tallest wide receiver prospect, but he is among the most powerful and his ability to break tackles after the catch sets him apart from many of his peers. His toughness reminds many of Steelers standout JuJu Smith-Schuster and he might even be a tick faster.

Brown’s teammate D.K. Metcalf is also entering the NFL Draft and has a chance at going in the first round despite his injury history.

LSU CB Greedy Williams Enters 2019 Draft

LSU cornerback Andraez “Greedy” Williams announced on Twitter that he’ll forgo his remaining seasons of collegiate eligibility in order to enter the 2019 NFL draft.

“I have been blessed by God with a beautiful and supportive family,” said Williams. “My blessing also include my LSU Tiger family, both on an off the field., It it with those abundant blessing in mind that I have to chosen to enter the 2019 NFL Draft….I look forward to making you all proud in this next chapter of my life.”

Williams will not play in the upcoming Fiesta Bowl after declaring for the draft, according to Brooks Kubena of the Advocate. Williams, who stands 6’2″, 175 pounds, redshirted during his first season with the Tigers, but became a starter in 2017 and never looked back. After leading the SEC with six interceptions, Williams was named All-SEC during his redshirt freshman campaign. In 2018, Williams started 11 more games, managing two picks and nine passes defensed along the way.

Williams is widely expected to come off the board early in the first round of next year’s draft. Mel Kiper Jr. of ESPN.com (ESPN+ subscription required) ranks Williams as the fifth-best prospect of the entire 2019 class, noting the LSU product’s ball skills and “long, lean frame.” Earlier this year, Kiper and his colleague Todd McShay called Williams the best lockdown corner available in 2019, adding the 20-year-old has an “extremely high ceiling.”

Iowa TE Noah Fant To Enter NFL Draft

Noah Fant will forgo his final year at Iowa in order to enter the 2019 NFL Draft. Fant is widely viewed as one of the top tight ends in this year’s class and may even be a Top 10 selection.

“Since the very first time I put on a pair of football pads as a child, it has been by dream to play in the NFL,” Fant wrote. “I am very excited for what the future holds and extremely humbled by the amazing opportunity in front of me.”

Fant, understandably, will not risk injury by playing in Iowa’s bowl game this year. His final season on campus ends with a First Team All-Big Ten Conference selection, 518 receiving yards, and a team-high seven touchdowns. All in all, he leaves Iowa with 78 career catches for 1,083 yards and 19 TDs.

At 6’5″, Fant has ideal size for the tight end position and will likely be the first TE to come off of the board. That’s a strong endorsement of his skills considering that this year’s crop at the position is considered to be rather solid. It’s certainly a better group than the 2018 lot as Hayden Hurst was the only tight end selected in the first round.

ASU WR N’Keal Harry To Enter NFL Draft

Arizona State wide receiver N’Keal Harry will forgo his senior season to declare for the 2019 NFL Draft. Harry ranks as one of the top wide receivers in this year’s class and is on course to be a first-round pick.

“I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey,” Harry said. “These past three years have been filled with unforgettable memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. It has truly been an honor to represent Arizona State University.”

Harry finished out the season with 73 catches for 1,088 yards and nine touchdowns. Some say he’s the very best wide receiver talent in this year’s class, though there figures to be plenty of debate between him, Oklahoma’s Marquise Brown, and others between now and April.

It remains to be seen whether Harry will suit up for ASU’s bowl game. Head coach Herm Edwards says that Harry will prepare as though he’ll play, but it seems unlikely that he’ll risk an injury.

Michigan DL Rashan Gary To Enter NFL Draft

Michigan defensive lineman Rashan Gary is going pro. On Monday, the highly-rated defensive lineman announced that he will enter the 2019 NFL Draft.

We’re still several months away from the draft, but Gary profiles as a Top 10 and possibly Top 5 pick. He’s no stranger to attention – he went to Ann Arbor as one of the top ranked high school seniors in the nation and largely lived up to expectations on campus.

Gary, who turns 21 next week, tallied 38 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks in his junior season. He’ll Michigan with 134 tackles and 10.5 sacks in total powered largely by a monster sophomore campaign. The timing of his announcement suggests that he’ll sit out Michigan’s bowl game – particularly since he missed time with shoulder and leg injuries this year – but there’s no official confirmation on that front yet.

Gary is one of several talented defensive linemen to enter this year’s draft, along with Houston’s Ed Oliver, Clemson defensive end Clelin Ferrell, and former Ohio State pass rusher Nick Bosa.
